This Thanksgiving why not let someone else cook for you? Or maybe you're looking for someone to take a load off the shoulders of your mother or wife (or husband, if he's the cook in the family). By taking advantage of one of the many Flagstaff restaurants serving turkey, stuffing, and much more, you can take the time to relax as you reflect on the good things in your life.

Fall is one of the most beautiful times of year in Flagstaff. Most of the leaves have usually fallen by the end of November. But the stark beauty of our mountain town waiting for snow or enveloped in the whiteness can be part of special memories for years to come. During your time of thanks this year, you may wish to visit one of these favorite restaurants.

Located just north of downtown Flag, Josephine's offers the delightful combination of quaint yet lavish ambience for your dining pleasure. Even in cooler weather, patrons can enjoy their meals on the heated patio. This year for Thanksgiving, Chef Tony et al will offer a banquet from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Some of the mouthwatering items on the menu are Pork Loin Roulade, stuffed with a sun-dried cranberry pecan filling, and mashed potatoes; Beef Wellington with bordelaise sauce; and Cedar Plank Salmon with havarti dill sauce and rice pilaf.

You'll want to leave room for flour-less chocolate torte with raspberry coulis or one of the many other delectable goodies. Prices for Josephine's Thanksgiving meals are $35 for each person 12 years and older. Meals for children 11 or younger are $10. For reservations please call (928) 779-3400.

Another favorite in Flagstaff for holiday meals of any kind is Little America Hotel. Conveniently just off the I40, this long-time tradition for festivities throughout the year has become world famous for their delicious Sunday buffets. At Thanksgiving they really go all out with a lavish brunch in the Grand Ballroom. Prices for Thanksgiving brunch will be $26.95 for adults, $15.95 for smaller diners 7 to 11, and kids 6 and under eat for free.

The magnificent spread will include Salmon Florentine, prime rib, ham, a shrimp and oyster bar, as well as a variety of cheeses and the usual breakfast selection. Brunch will be served from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. No reservations are taken for this wonderful event, though you are welcome to call Little America at (928) 779-7979 if you need further information.

Still another much loved destination among holiday buffet aficionados in Flagstaff is the Radisson Woodlands Hotel. Located on historic Route 66, the Radisson offers all you can eat buffets in the Woodlands Café on a regular basis but the Thanksgiving feast outdoes them all. Main courses this year will include bacon wrapped chicken, prime rib, and of course turkey and all the fixings. There will also be the much acclaimed seafood, salad, and dessert bars.

The buffet will be served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. No reservations are necessary for this Thanksgiving meal. You can reach the Radisson Woodlands Hotel at (928) 773-8888 for more information.

Wherever you decide to spend your Thanksgiving holiday, may you be blessed with the company of loved ones. Enjoy!
