When visiting the UK, it is always a good idea to get a real taste of British life. One of the best things to eat while you're in the country is a traditional English breakfast. They are tasty and filling, and the best thing about them is, you don't always have to have them at breakfast time! Generally speaking, a traditional English breakfast consists of sausages, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns, black pudding, toast and fried bread. Devon has many fantastic places for you to have a "fry up," but these are four of the best!
Taylor's Café, Dawlish
Taylor's is one of the best places to eat in Dawlish, and their All Day English breakfast is delicious! When food is delivered to you in any restaurant, presentation makes all the difference, and their food is a treat for the eyes as well as the stomach! Their bacon is particularly lovely, and it isn't greasy and stodgy, so you won't feel uncomfortable and bloated for the rest of the day.

Beachcomber Café, Teignmouth
The Beachcomber Café sits right on Teignmouth's sea front, and it actually boasts great views all round. One side gives a gorgeous view of the ocean, the other shows a huge, green park which often filled with people. The breakfast at the Beachcomber is reasonably priced and super yummy! If you aren't too hungry, but still want to sample a British breakfast, they offer a smaller version at a lower price, so you won't have to miss out!

Bistro 67, Totnes
For breakfast in a retro setting, Bistro 67 is the place for you. The café is filled with retro paintings of icons of the big screen including Audrey Hepburn and…Batman and Robin! Their All Day Breakfast is made from locally sourced produce, and the quality is superb. There is also a vegetarian breakfast option for those who don't eat meat. Both styles are equally good!

Too Delicious, Dawlish
Dawlish is the home of fantastic English breakfasts! Too Delicious is another café which prides itself on using ingredients which were grown locally, and the result is always fantastic. It does cost a little more than the others, but every penny is worth it because the taste is second to none. I have eaten many traditional British breakfasts in Devon, but this is by far my favorite.
