Here are five of the best places to watch Super Bowl XLVI in Austin, Texas:

Aussie's Grill & Sports Bar

Aussie's Grill & Sports Bar is a great place where you can watch the Super Bowl in a relaxing environment. They have 12 high-definition flat-panel TV screens and some of the best food you'll ever eat. Sit back, have a few drinks, and enjoy the game. Six of the TVs are located in the bar area, and the other six are in the dining room, so no matter where you are, you won't miss any action.

The Ranch

Third Base Sports Bar is a great little place where you can go to enjoy the game, but since they don't have a lot of space, you do want to get there early to get a good seat. If you don't like large crowds but want a nice place to have a cold one while watching the Super Bowl, this is the place to be. It's cozy but likely to be crowded for this big event.

Plucker's Wing Bar
2222 Rio Grande St., Suite D116
Austin, TX 78705
512-469-9464

Plucker's Wing Bar is a wonderful place to watch the Super Bowl and enjoy some excellent wings with your beer. They're known for having some of the best wings you'll ever eat. I'm not a wing fan, but even I love them. The service is fast and friendly, which makes it a relaxing place to be. There is a TV screen everywhere you look, so you don't have to worry about having a good view of the game.

The Tavern
922 W. 12th St.
Austin, TX 78703
512-320-8377

With 50 high-definition LCD TVs, you won't miss a minute of the game while enjoying a great beer selection and good food at The Tavern. This sports bar closely resembles the traditional English pub with wood paneling and a low ceiling, which creates a great atmosphere in which to watch the biggest football game of the year.

Out of all the places, you pick gross Pluckers. A chain that is known to be expensive for blah food and a crappy atmosphere. You might as well has said BWW.

Its funny that these recent Austin posts are just what Austin people HATE...when you mention the mainstream coffee shops and extrememly obvious sports bars its exactly the opposite of what Austin is about....hip and trendy....so if your wondering about any of these Austin places go ask an actual Austinite (not a transplant) and you will get to see some of the true hidden gems of Austin
