The city of Boston has many playgrounds and parks for kids and tots of all ages. In this list are the best playgrounds in Boston where your children can have a fun time in the great outdoors or indoors. During the summer, there are plenty of activities for kids through the city's recreation and parks as well as the community centers.

Chinatown Park: Located on Kingston St in Boston, Massachusetts, this park is known for having a lot of educational activities for children and toddlers. For instance this summer beginning July 7, they are going to hold the Read Boston Story Mobile in arrangement with the city and the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy. Stories will be read during a 45 minutes session and books will be given to children at conclusion of the session. The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, located at One International Place, 14th Floor, Boston, Massachusetts. It is 15 acres of public park space with plenty to do. It has a Mother's Walk space where people can honor special people in their lives by having their name inscribed permanently on the paver. Martin Playground: Located on Hilltop Street, Dorchester, this playground is great for all children. This summer, the children of the Dorchester Boston neighborhood can enjoy the Artists in Residence Craft Workshops. They will have opportunities for painting, mask, jewelry, and treasure bottle making among other arts and crafts for children ages 3-10. They will pay for nothing; all coast for materials are covered for free. Franklin Park: Franklin Park has the largest forest in Boston. It also houses an 18-hole public golf course, tennis courts, baseball fields, a leading cross country course, old stone ruins, and New England's largest Zoo. This summer, they will be featuring the Elma Lewis Playhouse in the park beginning July 8, 2008, and most Tuesdays thereafter. Carter Playground: Located at the south end of Columbus Avenue and Camden Street, in Boston, Massachusetts, this 5 acres of public parkland is great for baseball, little league, basketball, or other sporting activities with your children or whole family.
