The pop music scene is, as it always has been primarily the domain of the teenage crowd. From bubble gum and bounce to love and raging hormones it is still what the teen crowd listens to, dances to and swoons over. Fads come and go but, whatever the else is playing on the radio pop is still the biggest share of the music market. Every year has its' worst and its' best new albums and artists and here are five of the best pop albums of 2008.

· Beyoncé, "I am ...Sasha Fierce": Debuting at number one with sales of 482,400 albums Beyoncé's latest album" I am ... Sasha Fierce" comes as a double disc set. The first disc titled "I Am" showcases the intimate side of her with a collection of ballads from her heart. The second disc titled "Sasha Fierce" allows her to show us the fun and upbeat side of her with a selection of great dance songs. Definitely one of the best albums not only for Beyoncé but for pop music in 2008.

· Britney Spears, "Circus": Due to hit the stores December 2nd, 2008 "Circus" is a major step in the career of former teen pop star Britney. After a year of woes including a marriage breakdown, child custody issues and two trips to rehab she now has a new hit album ready to go. Featuring the smash hit " Womanizer" this album is sure to go platinum and show that a more mature Britney is back and ready to show everyone that she still has more than enough talent to wow the pop scene.

· Chris Brown "Young Love": This new album by the VMA artist of the year due out on the 29th of November is sure to showcase the talent of this young artist from Virginia. From his early days as a rapper Chris has transformed his music into a more "Usher "and "Tevin Campbell "style. His last album "Exclusive" topped out at number 4 on the"Billboard" charts. This one is sure to be yet another smash hit for this young superstar.

· Pink "Funhouse": Debuting at number 2 on the "Billboard" charts after its' November 18, 2008 this is a totally different Pink. Being called the "Divorce" album we see a more melancholy side of Pink. Though still the brassy in your face style for which she has become known with this album we are allowed a glimpse into what happened between her and her former husband Carey Hart. Even with that "Funhouse" is an excellent album with plenty of great tracks to keep even the most devout "Pink: fan coming back asking for more.

· Taylor Swift, "Fearless": Selling over 500,000 copies and debuting at number one on the "Billboard" charts this young country pop stars new album is nothing short of breathtaking. Featuring the "Billboard" number 5 track "Love Story" this album shows us that there is no end in sight to the talent of this incredible young lady from Pennsylvania. Getting here has taken a lot of hard work and hard knocks for this budding superstar but the work has definitely paid off with this, her third album.

Pop music comes and goes with the times and the songs change, but the true essence of it never changes. It is a true reflection of the times because no matter the style, be it bubble gum pop, country pop, rap or hip hop it truly reflects what the teenagers of each generation are thinking and feeling. This year's albums offer an incredible selection of music to get your fingers tapping and your inner soul dancing for joy.
