April Fools Day can be a lot of fun. It is always a lot of fun playing pranks and gags on friends and family members. When you play a prank on someone just make sure that the prank is fun for everyone involved, and that no one gets hurt. Here are great fan and safe pranks to play on your friends and family members.

Change the time: When this trick is played right, it can be a great April Fools gag. This is the perfect prank to play on your family. What you do is you get up a couple hours early and set all the clocks ahead two or three hours. Then you should make sure you get all ready for work. The rest of your family members will get woken up by their alarms two hours early, then get all ready for work and school. You can put a big sign outside the front door saying April fools. This can be a fun prank as long as your family won't be too disturbed by getting up a little early. The other disadvantage is the prankster also has to get up early to pull this off.

Fake Cake- This can be a funny prank to do to people at your office, or to bring home for your family. You will need to find a box that is the size of a typical cake, then you get frosting. You frost the box so it looks just like a cake. Then you set the cake in your office break room and watch as someone tries to cut it and eat it. This can be a funny prank because after the first person discovers your prank, they can be in on the joke for the next person.

What am I eating- This is a great prank to play on your kids, or your spouse if you are the one who does the cooking. What you do is tell everyone that you are making hot dogs and french fries for dinner. Then you take apples and cut them into fry shapes. You also take a hot dog bun, and put a roll of peanut butter in a hot dog shape in it. You can top your peanut butter hot dog with a squirt of strawberry jelly, that looks like ketchup. If you put jelly in a squirt bottle it is the easiest way to get the right look. Then when you serve your kids they will find that your played the April fools day joke on them by giving them food that isn't really what it looks like.

Walkie Talkie- This is a fun prank to play on anyone, but you will be able to fool kids with it longer. You get two walkie talkies, you put one by the object you are going to make "come to life" . Animals are a great option to use for this trick, or if you are playing this trick on a kid you can hide he walkie talkie in a doll or stuffed animal. You then wait in another room until someone is by the object, and you start talking through the walkie talkie like you are the animal or the doll. Obviously if you play this trick on adults you won't fool them for long, but you can usually surprise them. If you play this on kids you will get all sorts of fun reactions seeing what they do when they think their doll is talking to them.

Squirting Faucet- This is a cheap and easy prank to play on anyone. All you have to do is get a rubber band and twist it around the handle of the squirt part of the kitchen faucet. Then one someone turns on the water, the squirter will turn on and it will squirt them in the face.
