Mayonnaise: yes I know it stinks but this is a wonderful deep conditioner for your hair, plus it's cheap and can be bought just about anywhere as well. Take only as much as needed massage into scalp but instead of rinsing out right away leave in your hair for thirty- forty five minutes; the longer your hair the longer you leave it in. Cover hair in plastic bag and just wait it out. It will be kind of smelly and will take a couple minutes to get completely washed out of your hair but the end results are worth it. This works for already damaged hair or healthy hair that you want to remain that way.
Redken Extreme Anti-Snap Leave In Conditioner: this product is between fifteen and twenty two dollars and can be bought at most drug stores or salons. It is for repairing already sun damaged and brittle hair. It helps aid in less breakage and gives hair strength again. Smells good too.
Ultra Swim Chlorine Removal Shampoo: this product is for those who swim in chlorine filled pools often during the summer. Chlorine is bad for our hair and this shampoo is specially made to remove the chlorine build up in hair. It is safe and very effective and only about six dollars a bottle and can be bought at almost any grocery, or drug store.
VO5 Hot Oil Treatment: this product works wonders on already damaged hair. It is easy to use, almost the same way you would the mayonnaise treatment. Cheap about three to ten dollars depending on the exact place you buy it and how many treatments you are buying, this can be bought almost anywhere that sells hair products. Follow the warming directions on the back of the product wrap hair in plastic bag and sit and wait takes ten to twenty minutes and once done hair is not only healthier but this stuff smells wonderful and makes hair nice and shiny too.
Nourish Leave In Spray Conditioner: This is a little harder to find, I have bought it over the Internet and used once and would buy again. It averages between sixteen and twenty dollars a bottle. What is good about this leave in conditioner is that it not only contains the ingredients needed for repair as well as more moisture but it also contains sunscreen which protects hair and scalp from sun damage. You can but this product at healthyhairplus.com
Whether you use any one of these products or you find something else that caters more to your hair needs make sure you use something this summer to protect your hair from sun damage. It's easy to keep hair healthy and somewhat easy to repair minor to moderate damage but there is a limit on how much damage your hair can take so don't let it get that far. Have a happy fun filled summer!
