Traditions Abound at Piper Down
Piper Down brings Irish charm into the heart of Salt Lake City . Located at 1492 South State Street, this pub is offering a 3-day celebration beginning March 16. The Wailing O'Sheas and a toast at midnight to ring in St. Patrick's Day with the respect it deserves. Festivities continue St. Patrick's Day with an Irish breakfast from 10 a.m. until noon. Irish fare is served the rest of the day with entertainment including Irish dancers, and traditional Pipes and Drums, throughout. Swagger performs live with three shows at 6 p.m., 8 p.m and 10 p.m. Cover charge $5.00 before 5 p.m./$10.00 after 5 p.m. On street parking.

The Green Street has the atmosphere of an Irish Pub with the city style of a great nightclub. For St. Patrick's Day, this pub offers the best of everything from mingling on the terrace, dancing to the latest hits, and raising a pint at the bar. The party starts at 2 p.m. with green beer, live Irish music and specialty drinks for anyone ready to celebrate all things green. Add pipes and Irish food to the mix, and you've got a party! Owner Bridget Gordon has created "...your neighborhood pub" at 31 East 400 South in Salt Lake City . On St. Patrick's Day The Green Pig Downtown Pub & Grill has a special menu, including favorites like Fish & Chips, Corned Beef and Cabbage, and stew, with nothing priced over $10.00 - so you can keep more green in your wallet. Bag pipes will entertain throughout the day, while Marinade will perform live at 9 p.m. No cover before 5:00 p.m.. After 5:00, the cover is only $5.00. On street parking available; within walking distance of a parking garage.
