When looking for web hosting, there are several things that you can use as a comparison in order to find the best rated web hosting. The most obvious thing that everyone wants to compare is price. You can start your search there but in order to find the best rated web hosting for you, you are going to have to dig a little deeper.

Some other things that you can compare is the amount of disk space available and the amount of bandwidth included with your account. Bandwidth is a biggie because bandwidth overages can be expensive. Another way to compare different web hosting companies is to look for customer reviews.

One of my secrets for searching for the best rated web hosting is to see what others are writing. Most hosting companies will have a forum on their web site. Check the forum for customer services issues and note how fast they get resolved. Look to see if people are comparing about their sites being down or anything else that might be a sign of trouble.

Best Rated Web Hosting Sites

StartLogic is raising the bar when it comes to web hosting. They are offering the traditional 3,000GB of bandwidth as well as the 3,000GB of storage but they are also throwing in a free domain name for $4.95 a month. You can't even register a domain for that price! StartLogic offers great customer service and throws in some great extras. I noticed on their site that they are throwing in $50 dollars of Google Adwords and $50 of Yahoo Search credits as well. This is why they are consistently ranked tops on the list of the best rated web hosting.

Host Monster is consistently ranked high due to their low cost and great customer service. Host monster is $5.95 a month for 3,000GB of bandwidth and 300 GB of web storage. Host Monster has a free site builder included with all of their hosting packages and also offers unlimited email accounts.

Host Gator is a good solid company that has been around for a couple of years. I have never read a bad review about this company and I host several sites there myself. Customer service is easy to work with and their tech guys are top notch. Host Gator offers a forum for any assistance that may be needed in setting up your account or anything else that you may need. Host Gator offers a "starter" package for $4.95 a month. This "hatchling" package as they call it, offers 350GB of storage and 3000GB of bandwidth. The biggest down side to this package is that you can only have one domain hosted with the "hatchling" package.
