Denver, Colorado is home to many famous attractions, stores, and restaurants. Denver offers a variety of restaurants ranging from casual to a more formal atmosphere. One of the best restaurants in general is Elway's in Downtown Denver. Obviously, the restaurant is named after former Denver Bronco quarterback John Elway. Whether you are looking for a casual brunch, or a more formal dining experience Elway's Downtown is your place.

Locations and Hours

Elway's in Downtown Denver is located at 1881 Curtis Street, which is situated in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Its location provides easy access to many shops and attractions in Downtown Denver, and there is no need to worry about parking while dining at Elway's Downtown, because they offer valet parking for their guests, which alleviates the worry of finding a parking spot. Elway's Downtown in Denver is open Monday through Friday from 6:30am-10pm; open Saturday 7am-10pm; and open Sunday 7am-9pm.

Specialties

Elway's Downtown in Denver offers a wide array of delectable dishes, whether you are looking for a dishes consisting of chicken, steak, or seafood. Some of Elway's most famous specialties include their hand-cut prime steaks, huge seasonal raw bar, Cold-Smoked River Salmon, and Smash Burger. This restaurant also has a vast selection of wines on their menu, whether you are in the mood for a cheap bottle of wine or in the mood to buy a very expensive bottle of wine, Elway's has it all on their menu. Elway's Downtown also has dishes that will make any vegetarian happy, they offer a selection of salads, soups, and dishes that consist of very fresh vegetables. Elway's Downtown in Denver contains a large dining room that can seat up to 165 people, and additional private dining rooms that can hold up to 50 guests. Private rooms can be reserved for huge gatherings, large parties, and/or corporate events, but I recommend that these rooms be reserved far enough in advance so that the restaurant can fit you into their busy schedule and also so that they can have time to set up for your party and/or event.

Price and Dress

The pricing at Elway's Downtown in Denver is somewhat expensive compared to other restaurants in the Denver area. Prices of the entrees range from 15-50 dollars, thus making it a little pricey. The portions are average to what other restaurants offer at a lower price. The dress code at this restaurant is rather formal; visitors should expect to wear khakis or suit pants, and a dress or polo shirt. The atmosphere at Elway's is very calming and peaceful; the lighting in the restaurant is dim and each table consists of a lit candle in the center of the table. Visitors should expect to have somewhat of a long wait when visiting Elway's Downtown. The restaurant is busy throughout the week, and the amount of guests definitely increases on the weekends. The wait time can be as long as 1 hour or even more. I recommend that guests make reservations before going to Elway's Downtown; reservations can be made by calling (303)312-3107. The restaurant not very kid-friendly, I would recommend this restaurant to couples or small groups looking to a have a quiet dinner, where they can have small talk and enjoy delicious food.

Elway's Downtown is a very busy restaurant, but as long as you have a reservation there should not be a problem. Although this restaurant is a little pricier compared to other restaurants in the Denver area, it is worth it in my opinion; you are getting in return a delicious meal made by world renowned chefs in a quiet and sophisticated atmosphere located in the heart of beautiful downtown Denver.
