Choosing the best restaurants in Knoxville is hard. From big chain dining to small family owned restaurants Knoxville has it all. All of the top restaurants in Knoxville feature good food and prompt friendly service. After much deliberating, here is my pick for the finest restaurants in Knoxville. No doubt, you'll have a favorite of your own. If you do, please comment about it in the section below. Otherwise, please enjoy my list of the best restaurants in Knoxville.

#1 Best restaurant in Knoxville is:

The Orangery

5412 Kingston Pike

Knoxville, TN 37919

Phone: 865.588.2964

This fabulous French restaurant is Knoxville's only 4 star dining. Enjoy prompt courteous service and even better food. Chairs are comfortably apportioned. Throw pillows are available and there is a live pianist. This restaurant has been a top dining location ever since I can remember. Lunch ranges from $11- $15. For more information visit them online at . http://www.theorangeryrestaurant.com

#2 Best restaurant in Knoxville is:

Club LeConte

2700 Plaza Tower

Knoxville, TN 37929

This Knoxville restaurant features member's only dining. Club LeConte sits nestled among the top of the First Tennessee Plaza building in downtown Knoxville. They serve a variety of Continental and American cuisine. Membership is by invitation only. I have been there twice. The service was perfect both times.

#3 Best restaurant in Knoxville is:

Regas Restaurant

318 N Gay St.

Knoxville, TN 37919

Phone: 865.63.REGAS

Online: http://www.thechophouse.com/

The best Knoxville restaurant for a quality steak, prime rib and lobster. The Regas family has long been known in the Knoxville area for great food and service. In 2001, they became part of Connor Concepts. Other Knoxville Restaurants owned by Connor Concepts include the Chop House, Connors Steak and Seafood and Regas. All provide excellent service but none outshine the Regas. Lunch ranges from $9-$15.

#4 Best restaurant in Knoxville is:

Savelli's Italian Restaurant

3055 Sutherland Ave.

Knoxville, TN 37919

Phone: 865.521.9085

Proof that dynamite comes in small packages. This Knoxville restaurant is the tiniest place I have ever seen for a sit-down restaurant. Food is authentic Italian so don't expect it to be fast. Some of the dishes served take awhile and are best served with friends. Wine is strictly "bring your own". Atmosphere is quaint. To ensure quality service, the owner, her daughters or staff may serve you. Dinner ranges from $8-$12.

#5 Best restaurant in Knoxville is:

Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar

118 Reynolds Place

Knoxville, Tennessee 37919

Tel: (865) 584-4898

Fax: (865) 584-5518

Online: http://www.wasabi-steakhouse.com/

Serving lunch Sunday - Friday and dinner daily. Dine in the grill for dinner and your traditional Japanese food show, eat in the restaurant area for a quiet lunch or sit on the bar side and enjoy the game. Food and service are both excellent at this location. Lunch ranges from $7 -$15, dinner ranges from $11.25 - $32.

You named my favorite place in Knoxville, The Regas. Very old world. It's a little dark and your eyes need time to adjust when you first go in. The food is excellent...try the shrimp cocktail...huge shrimp!!! If it's a b-day or anniversary they give you a little red velvet cake and sing...Try it you won't be disappointed.
