Looking for a place to eat in Oshkosh, WI? Look no further. Oshkosh, like all cities, has it's great places and it's not so great places. Most of these places are no secret, but how do you know where to go? The key to great food is eating where the locals eat. So the next time you are visiting Oshkosh, check out one of these local favorites.

Vitale's Italian Cuisine is an intimate and beautiful restaurant, specializing in authentic Italian cuisine. This restaurant is great for romantic evenings or important business dinners. Their food and service is always enough to impress even the pickiest diners.

Brooklyn's Grill is basically a bar with great bar food. The atmosphere is loud and jovial, but the food is delicious. Staff is friendly and they provide an over-all great time for a decent price.

Fratellos is a top notch restaurant. Known for their microbrewery and huge selection, they also have an exquisite menu. During the warmer months, be sure to dine in their outdoor patio area overlooking the Fox River. Overall, a great place for a great time.

The Roxy is the local favorite. They do a great fish fry and have really good prices. The staff is excellent and they have a really loyal following of locals. The atmosphere is basically friendly diner, gone upscale.

Primo is a delicious Italian restaurant that is very reasonably priced. Portions are huge so make sure you go hungry. The dining room features big open windows overlooking an elegant garden.

Becketts is quickly becoming another local favorite. Overlooking the Fox River with boat tie-ups, it is a favorite in the summer for boaters. The décor is chic and the food follows suit. Service can be inconsistent at times, but that is not unknown for new restaurants.

Wendts on the Lake is the place to go for fish on Lake Winnebago. A local favorite this place is busy every Friday and many other nights too. Although not technically in Oshkosh, it is a short drive down the scenic Hwy 45 and very worth the trip.

American Table is one of the best places to go for breakfast. Conveniently located in Downtown Oshkosh, it features a large and varied menu. Staff is always friendly, and the place is always clean and comfortable.

Glass Nickel Pizza is the best place to go for both subs and pizzas. Better yet, when possible just order in since Glass Nickel delivers. Although not always consider the local favorite, it is more diverse than the other pizza places.
The Chalice
is Oshkosh's best kept secret. This restaurant features delicious meals in a cozy atmosphere. Although the lighting is dim, it is offset by all the windows and in the winter, a roaring fire.
