Best Rock Songs

I define a good rock song by it's style and structure. Rock music is divided into many forms. There's your classic rock, punk, pop-punk, blues, alternative, and the list can go on. Me, I like classic rock, alternative, and bluesy rock. I like the kind the music that can blare on the radio and it instantly energizes me or taunts me to pick up my guitar. I like songs from all genres of music but I have a passion for rock.; I play rock music on my SG. The riffs to a good song can be so memorable you can whistle or hum it whenever. And a good solo tends to bring out the child in me. However, I have many favorites that each have a special quality that makes me feel like I'm on top of the world. I think sometimes it's not even about the lyrics because the melody can speak for itself.

My all time favorite band is ACDC. They are a band formed in Sydney, Australia back in the seventies. Their hard hitting riffs and catchy lyrics will forever stay with me. My personal favorite of the group is lead guitarist Angus Young. With his trademark school boy's outfit, he inspires me to be a better guitar player. And one my favorite songs of all time is 'Moneytalks' by the band. When I first heard it, I was in awe struck by the style and rhythm. So, I learned this song on my guitar when I was sixteen. Then I checked out more of their albums and fell in love with another song by them. 'Thunderstruck'. The lead part on that song is so incredibly awesome. It's a song that anyone could like, even if they didn't like rock music.

I am also a huge Pink Floyd fan. I like 'The Wall' album and 'Dark Side of The Moon'. Their eerie tones and soft spoken melodies are timeless. One of my favorite songs from them is 'Wish You Were Here'. I have listen to that so many times when I'm down and feeling sad. I'm a sucker for anything acoustic so it's no surprise that I love this song. It' so haunting and easy to relate to. Another one I love is called 'Money'. With the cash register and the coin sound fx, it immediately pulls you into it's own world. The smooth bass line is memorable in itself. For me, it's hard not to like this band because of their unique style that will never be forgotten.

There are some rock songs I like only for the guitar, so you and I are on the same tablature page.
