Best Romantic Movies to Watch with Men

This Valentine's Day you may find yourself staying home to celebrate due to the current economic situation. Many people find they can not afford to go out this year. A good way to spend a Valentine's evening is to watch a romantic movie.

Most men do not like these types of movies as they believe them to be "Chick Flicks". There are some romantic movies that are great to watch with men as they have something for them too.

An Officer and Gentlemen

This is a movie that men would like because of the comedy as well as the action. This movie starring Richard Gere and Debra Winger is about Cadets making it through an Officer's Academy and how difficult it is. Richard Gere meets one of the local girls and does everything not to fall in love with her. Most romantic scene from this movie is when he picks up Debra Winger and puts his hat on her head and carries her out of the factory!

Top Gun

Similar type of movie, starring Tom Cruise and Kelly McGilles. Students of a flight school and the difficulties and disappointments they face. Tom Cruise falls for Kelly who is one of his teachers in the movie. This movie has a lot of action and a lot of romance that is sure to please both of you.

Titanic

In my opinion one of the most romantic movies ever! The movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. A movie of nonstop action that men will enjoy and it also has nonstop romance. Most romantic part of this movie was when they went to the front of the ship and he showed her what it was like to fly. Another romantic part is at the end when he put her on a piece of furniture so that she would not freeze in the water, knowing that he would be the one to die.

Casablanca

Classic romantic movie starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. Yes, it has a lot of romance and singing, so if your man is not into that sought of thing then try something else, but this movie also has plenty of action and it takes place during a war. I could not put a romantic movie list together without including this one.

Bull Durham

Romantic Comedy that any man would enjoy watching. This is a movie that they will not even know they are watching a romantic movie. This movie stars Kevin Costner and Susan Sarandon. A love affair blossoms between a catcher and a baseball groupie. If your guy is not into real mushy romantic movies this is the movie for him. Baseball and sexy scenes, what else could they want!

Leaving Las Vegas

Romantic Drama about a suicidal alcoholic and a prostitute. Men will love the drama and the sexy scenes. This film stars Nicolas Cage who won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his work in this film, along with Elisabeth Shue who was nominated for Best Actress.

Men are not usually in to the tear jerker movies that we women love, but there are movies out there that you can both enjoy that have something for both of you. This Valentine's Day cuddle up and make some popcorn and enjoy!
