Best Rumi Quotes on Love

Reena Das
Jalalud'din Rumi is the thirteenth-century mystical Persian poet whose poetry encompasses several human emotions, including love. "Western readers have been captivated by Rumi's frequent and masterful use of romantic imagery, which, coupled with the medieval lack of prudery have caused some to regard him chiefly as a love poet," according to Poetseers.org. Rumi's love quotes advocates his belief for the emotion that he considers universal, secular, divine and mystical.

There is no master,
no disciple.
This gathering is more like a drunken party,
full of tricksters, fools,
mad men and mad women.
This is a gathering of Lovers."

and ask the moon to come
and press its face against mine.
Breathe into me.
Close the language-door
and open the love-window.
The moon won't use the door,
only the window."

when I experience it I am speechless.
Although I may try to write about Love
I am rendered helpless..."
