Hence, the need to develop a unique personal vision to the business or work that will clearly distinguish you from all the others is important. To achieve this, sincere and serious effort in designing the approach to be taken and implementing that model or approach step by step are important. Be very original in your business and sales approach.
Passion:
For the new business owner and agent, this factor can be slow in establishing, initially. Do not fake the interest in your business or work and why you are doing it in this first place. A genuine love for the business (not the money or the financial rewards that are possible) will greatly assist anyone to get through the dark and difficult times of their business or effort. We are admonished to honestly believe in what we are doing and then express or communicate this visibly to the customers and clients for real success. Pretension is fraudulent and ineffective in the short and long term.
Integrity:
This is undoubtedly my favorite characteristic for genuine success in online business or sales. Since in real practical terms online businesses and agents are building a relationship, trust or honesty becomes very critical to the savvy consumer or client. Honesty and trust, I agree, will most certainly bring back customers since they are more likely to feel good about the business or salesperson and his/her sincere approach to them. The Experts are saying and have impressively advised us that "Customers still buy the salesperson" or in fact, the honesty of the person. This is so true in today's high tech society and the advanced use of the world-wide-web for all sorts of fraudulent means. This is also why many people are waiting to see and watching an online business for any changes that will reflect dishonesty of any kind. Some savvy consumers and clients go even further to do some online and off-line research about an individual and business before dealing with them. Hence, this is a very prudent approach for everyone.
Courage:
Here feelings of failure or rejections will most certainly have to be controlled and be remove mentally and otherwise. We are advised to always see possibilities even in difficult times. From my personal experience (both online and off-line) this is most certainly true. There are going to be times when rejection will be the only result in sight, and can be discouraging. The novice or easily offended will not last in online business and sales. Professionals will tell us that online efforts are always a learning process and most certainly will bring about changes in both the business approach and the client or customer requirements. So we must be prepared to accept rejections, be courageous and make necessary adjustments according to the feedback received.
Commitment:
Just as in American and Worldwide there are seasons that change according to nature, so there are business and sales cycles that will bring about differences in results. Experts say that the Sales or Business Cycle can take months or even years (but hopefully not the latter). "Selling is never easy" and so businesses and agents must seek-out and find other prospects simultaneously and alternatively. This takes commitment. Diversity of clients is important here. But while business and sales are not good at the moment, we are admonished not to decide to give-up, but to remain faithful and committed to the cause and our faithful clients, until the sun shines on our efforts again. We must be committed and believe that our efforts are not in vain.
Courtesy:
Since we are concentrating on online business and sales, we are therefore not in direct person-to-person contact with clients or customers, and so courtesy becomes even more important. We need to help, assist and clarify to our clients the essential benefits of the business product or service to them, their families, friends and neighbors. Putting customers fears, doubts or uncertainty at ease will help us for the better and make them happy and satisfied. Some clients are often unable to express themselves in the manner they really want to, and as such we should try our very best to assist in whatever way we can to remove their discomfort. Making an extra effort to respond to inquiries made by customers will help in this respect as well. Be courteous to them about contacting and communicating with you effectively and efficiently in the interest of the business and clients.
Secure Online Transactions:
This really means providing a very up-to-date and modern secure transaction mechanism for online our clients and customers. Since clients are being asked to submit online their credit cards numbers, home addresses and other personal information that are extremely essential to their security and personal identities, a secure means of transactions is a MUST! Hence, "Secure Socket Links or 3rd Party Verification" (and others certified means) must be used.
