Pappa's Seafood House have been serving the Houston area since 1981. Family owned an operated by the Pappa's brothers, Jim and Harris. This restaurant have been know to serve the freshest seafood around. They have a chalkboard policy that if they cant get the fish fresh they wont serve it. The servers go through a rigorous training to learn the food and Pappa's culture. They have an wide variety of entrees on their menu as well as daily specials. Off the menu ask for the Mahi Royal 10oz. Mahi Mahi Chargrilled, topped with shrimp, crawfish, lobster, spinach, button mushrooms, in a white wine cheese sauce. Menu prices are in the range of $13.95 to $29.00 however the portions are very generous. They have take out menu for large parties.

Located next to the Kemah Boardwalk Ichibon Japanese Seafood Restaurant is one of my favorites. You can enjoy fresh seafood and sushi here any day of the week. The Menu has a large selection of different style of sushi and seafood items such as lobster tail, shrimp, crab, fresh fish and calamari. You can select hibachi (table side grill) where the chef will bring your food out and cook it in front of you. Ichibon is a great place for not couple but for families as well. Ichibon also has a great happy hour where the prices reasonable.

Valentino's offers great tasting seafood in the Houston area. Family owned and operated for many years. Menu prices are very affordable usually under $20.00, you can enjoy a lunch menu from 11:00AM-3:00PM and happy hour drinks from 4:00PM-7:00PM. Valentino's offers authentic gulf seafood items like, fried shrimp, oysters, fresh fish, soups, salad, and poboys. I would highly recommend the fried calamari and crab cakes when visiting this restaurant.
