Seahawks Pregame Hangouts in Pioneer Square
Seahawks pregame hangout #1: McCoy's Firehouse
Located at the corner of S. Washington St. and 2nd Ave S in Pioneer Square, McCoy's Firehouse is a cozy bar and grill. During Seahawks season, they feature a delicious breakfast buffet, and always have a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu as well as a full bar. McCoy's Firehouse is a great Seahawks pregame hangout, and a fun way to start your morning and fuel up to cheer on those Seahawks!
Seahawks pregame hangout #2: Fuel
Across the street from McCoy's, this bar will be packed, so get there early. You can't beat their 32oz Bud and Bud Light beers for $7 on game day. If beer isn't your thing, the 2 for $10 Jaegermeister shots and a full bar are available too. They have multiple flat screens on every wall, so you'll be able to catch every minute of your Fantasy players in action. If you need to fuel up before the game, this Seahawks pregame hangout also offers an excellent menu of good 'ole American victuals.
Seahawks pregame hangout #3: F.X. McRory's
Just a hop north of Qwest Field on Occidental, this restaurant has it all. They offer a children's menu as well as lunch, dinner, and desserts. If you are a whiskey lover, F.X. McRory's is a must-see. Their Whiskey Bar holds three tiers of spirits in 750 different brands. The sight of the bar alone is reason enough to make F.X. McRory's your Seahawks pregame hangout. Be sure to get there early, because this popular restaurant and bar gets packed.
Seahawks Pregame Hangouts South of the Stadium
Seahawks pregame hangout #4: The Showbox SoDo
Located only 2 blocks south of Quest field at 1700 1st Ave South, the Showbox SoDo opens early before every home game. For morning games, they feature an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet and drink specials. For afternoon and evening games, they may offer a buffet of Mexican food, or hot dogs and chili, as well as other food specials. You will not miss a minute of football action with 12 large flat screen TVs playing all of the day's games. Going to the game with kids? No problem. SoDo is an all-ages facility so families are welcome. This Seahawks pregame hangout stays open through the game, as well as post-game for people that like to wait out the traffic crunch.
Seahawks pregame hangout #5: Pyramid Brewery
Located directly across the street from Safeco Field on 1st Ave., this restaurant features a beer garden outdoors for those over 21. If you're hungry or have the young'ns with you, you'll want to head inside and sample their excellent menu, both food and beer alike. This Seahawks pregame hangout offers 15 beers on draft. If you can't decide on which delicious beer to try, order up their Brewer's Rack, a selection of their 5 most popular beers.
Seahawks Pregame Hangouts at the Stadium
Seahawks pregame hangout #6: Touchdown City
This family-friendly venue is open to Seahawks fans three hours before every home game. Inside, you will find interactive booths with something for everyone. For the kids (and adults too!) there's face painting, games, freebies, and concessions. Adults can stop by the "Linebacker Lounge" for a beer and check out the games on the big screen TV. This Seahawks pregame hangout is a great place to be, but be forewarned: if you want to nab the day's swag offered to fans (usually pom poms, towels, Thunder sticks, or hats), you won't get it by entering the stadium from here. Instead, go outside and enter from another area.
Seahawks pregame hangout #7: Outside Vendors
Did you know you can bring food into the stadium? The vendors just outside Qwest Field will have your mouth watering with their delicious offerings. I suggest stopping by the pizza vendor and purchasing a whole pizza with your friends. You can split the cost and save some cash! A fun bonus of spending time around this Seahawks pregame hangout: Seahawks Blue Thunder, the team's amazingly talented drumline, makes their way down this street on the way to the game. If that doesn't get you pumped for some football action, I don't know what will!
So now you're all set to have a great time, pre-game and post-game. Enjoy, be responsible, and cheer your heart out for our Seahawks.
Let me hear your bird call!
