Best Secluded Beach in Florida

Rik Rodriguez
Having had the pleasure of visiting literally 100s of beaches in Florida, I have certainly chosen a few that are my favorites. Being a surfer you may think that I would pick all surfing beaches, instead of beaches that would be great for fishing or just relaxing. Well I love the beach and I tend to find beaches that are pretty private
and offer a taste of what I call real Florida. Certainly most Florida visitors have had the chance to visit many of the popular or should I say legendary beaches of Florida. Coco, South Beach, Datona beach, Panama City etc.

But to me Florida still has some of the best beaches in the USA. The popular ones are littered with condos and hundreds of people, which is OK. But South Florida offers a taste of Floridas past. I found several beaches where you wont see any condos. Where you can walk for hours and feel safe. Beaches where you can find your own fishing spot, surf break or place to just relax. Away from the crowd.

Finding many of these beaches took plenty of work and driving around, I am pretty particular about the beaches I frequent and I normally do not tell that many people about them. But I am going to make an exception in your case today. One of these beaches I found many years ago, Located along A1A north of Sebastian Inlet. The beach is called Bon Steel. Its a Brevard county beach, it has limited facilities but their are some small stores and bait shops with-in biking distance. Truly if you are into getting a taste of what Florida's beaches used to be like. Bon Steel is a great experience for your whole family.

Parking is generally safe there and the fishing is great. Surfing is pretty good also. You will find Bon Steel beach to have a little bit of everything. Be sure to keep a good eye on your kids because there are no life guards on duty there. Mostly you will see fisherman and a few surfers. The bike path comes south all the way from Brevard county beaches, you can catch the formal path up near the Long Board house if you are looking for a decent bike ride for the day. Bring plenty of water and sun screen. Even in the winter months the sun in Florida can be very strong. Always to remember to never leave any trash on the beach, safety comes first when beaching around and please respect the marine animals.
