One of my favorite is the Park Seed company. This catalog has anything and everything you can imagine. Along with the common vegetable varieties, there are fruit trees, strawberries, and other great items. You can find raspberries, blueberries, and grapes. There are flowers, herbs, and everything in between. There are great sales every so often that can save you quite a bit of money.
Select Seeds deals with all sorts of heirloom and rare flowers. This is the catalog to get if you want the old Victorian garden. The company provides a nice selection of bulbs. There are vining flowers, fragrant blooms, and a large variety of perennials.
If you are thinking it is too early to be thinking about next year's garden, think again. The 2008 catalogs are being printed as we speak. These companies and so many others are already taking orders for the latest editions. Now is the time to order. You can either call or log on to the web sites and request the gardening catalogs. Many of these companies also offer hints and tips in the form of a news letter you can receive in your e-mail. The option is up to you. Winter came on quickly. So will spring.
