Best Shadow Priest Pvp Arena Talent Spec 8/0/33 Level 85

This Shadow Priest spec is a the same spec that I use on my shadow priest in 2v2. I actually really enjoy the damage I can do now that mind blast has got a good buff, and with tricks from my rogue partner, I can really put out some quick damage.

Discipline

I know you have to start with shadow, but I go left from right when doing my specs so you will just have to deal with it :P.

The next level 85 cataclysm discipline priest pvp arena talent you will get is 2/2 improved power word: shield. You can use this when in shadow for, and since you will be using it on cooldown, this is actually a must have shadow priest talent.

The next level 85 cataclysm discipline priest pvp arena talent you will get is 3/3 twin disciplines. This is actually a very nice talent to be a filler in the dis tree.

The next level 85 cataclysm discipline priest pvp arena talent you will get is 2/2 evangelism. You will want to make sure you never let the stack fall off of you if you are kiting a melee, and this will really up your damage if you use dark archangel with some trinkets (which is perfect with the 90 second cooldown and 15 second duration). I personally use a on use SP trinket and do a ton of damage.

The next level 85 cataclysm discipline priest pvp arena talent you will get is 1/1 archangel. This is a great talent, and is combined with a on use SP trinket perfect. You will get a 20% damage buff and pop your trinket for some pretty numbers. Remember to always cast mind flay the second this runs out if possible to delay the SP gain and % gain a little longer. (just a little trick that may get hotfixed says a little birdy).

Shadow

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 1/3 darkness. This is just really filler even though haste is not that bad.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 2/2 improved shadow word: pain. The extra damage on an already hard hitting DOT is very nice. I have seen some very good crit ticks from pain lately.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 2/2 veiled shadows. 6 seconds off of your mobility button is very nice. It is 20% cooldown reduction and will be very noticeable.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 2/2 improved psychic scream. I personally use this on cooldown and it is still a prereq, so it's a must have.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 3/3 improved mind blast. 2 seconds off of your now very hard hitting ability is very nice, and you will get a passive crappy MS just like every other class now.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 2/2 improved devouring plague. This actually hits rather hard and since it is up front you can stop drinking/eating and bandageing with it. It is very handy.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 2/2 twisted faith. The hit from spirit pretty much caps you for pvp with no reforging.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 1/1 shadowform. This is the form that you will stay in all the time, and is an of course talent.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 2/2 phantasm. This is your mobility talent and is a must have.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 2/2 harnessed shadows. This is really just an OK talent, but I take it anyways.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 1/1 silence. This is one of the best silences in the game, and you will win games with this one button if you are playing a comp like me (rogue/SP).

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 1/1 vampiric embrace. This is an overpowered talent in raids and just ok in 2v2. I personally think that this needs a slight buff to solo and a nerf to multi targets.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 2/2 masochism. You will take a lot of these attack in 2s and this will give you a lot of mana back.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 2/2 mind melt. The instant mind blast is very handy and tricky, and the extra damage on death makes it a small execute.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 2/2 pain and suffering. I personally like to never cast pain except for the first time, but this is really no good vs a dispel team. I really don't care about the self damage part so this is interchangeable with paralysis. I pick this because paralysis is so RNG that its only useful every 1 out of 5 times and crit is so low that it never procs anyhow.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 1/1 vampiric touch. This is a DOT with a gimmick replenishment just like every other class.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 1/1 psychic horror. This is a great tool vs most warriors in general. Warriors really do a number on shadow priest, so this is a nice counter for brostorm and thos pesky recklessness 100k in one global fury warriors :P.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 3/3 shadow apparition. In 2s I think this is a very good talent, and will actually cause a good bit on confusion in group battles.

The next level 85 cataclysm shadow priest pvp arena talent you will get is 1/1 dispersion. This is actually a gimp talent compared to what it could be, but all in all it is still a must have if you want to live in pvp. I ususally follow this with a fear and hit a few heals then pop back to shadow form. You hit this when you are 30-50k health NOT when you are 10k health because you can still be killed and when you come out you might as well be dead. This is not a reset button and you are not a frost mage. This is for use at a low amount of health, but still enough that you can come out of it with 30-40k health, fear and get a few good heals off. If you use this wrong, you might as well just skip it all together. It is a balanced talent or a little under powered to be honest. I also always try to throw a renew on right before if im not stunned to heal equal to the damage still being taken. Just some pro tips for ya.
