So now I am a huge Terminator fan. When Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles came out I was a bit skeptical about the show. But this second season has really changed. This show now offers so much more than the first season. Plus, things are starting to get interesting. My husband and I both look forward to this on Monday night. Even over Monday Night Football. The show does pretty much stay true to the Terminator movies, which is a good thing if you are a fan. I think that the interactions of the characters work pretty well within the parameters of the world of the Terminator. I look forward to continuing to follow the progress of John Connor and his mother Sarah.
The USA Network has a gem of a show. Monk is a wonderful show. I love the fact that while there is some violence, it isn't really shown. There is no cheating, sex, or explicit scenes. It truly is a family type show. Monk has so many quirks and mannerisms that people can relate to. The show itself has appeal for all ages. This show has also won many awards for Tony Shalhoub. Really a must see if you are looking for a new favorite show.
Let's talk about one of the most popular shows on TV. Ghost Hunters is ubber popular. And it is very entertaining. I love to watch that show on Wednesday nights in the dark. I love the balance between science and belief. There is so much to love about this show. The guys of TAPS are so real compared to other shows. They are normal people who do some interesting things. Now it is so popular and they are still normal people.
TNT has a great show too. It is called The Closer. Kyra Sedgwick stars in this show. I really like how this character is so flawed. She is so human. That is refreshing in this era of perfect looking people. But the thing that I really love about this character is that she is smart. Not just smart, she is brilliant. She nails the bad guys to the wall. Hard. She is so good at getting her cases closed. I think this show is really awesome. As the season number grows, the characters get better and more interesting. Along with Monk this is a must see TV show.
But of all these shows that fill the airwaves, my very favorite is House, MD. I hadn't seen much of this show before this year. But as I watched an episode and then another, I discovered one of the best shows that have ever aired. The characters are so deep and well written. House himself is such a jerk, a jerk that you love to love/hate at the same time. The surrounding cast also is so well rounded. The medical aspect is fairly interesting as well. This show has the total package of entertainment and drama. These reasons are all why House is the number one show on TV in 2008.
