Best Social Network Movie Quotes

Featuring Jesse Eisenberg and Rooney Mara

Almost every line of The Social Network could possibly qualify as "the best Social Network movie quotes", but the following are some of the most memorable lines and performances from the actors Jesse Eisenberg (Mark Zuckenberg) and Rooney Mara (Erica Albright).

Best Social Network Quotes by Jesse Eisenberg

Jesse Eisenberg is brilliant in just about every scene of The Social Network, but I thought this scene during the deposition was particularly standout:

Quote from Mark answering on whether they deserve his attention at the deposition: I think if your clients want to sit on my shoulders and call themselves tall, they have a right to give it a try but there's no requirement that I enjoy sitting here listening to people lie. You have part of my attention. You have the minimum amount. The rest of my attention is back at the offices of Facebook where my colleagues and I are doing things that no one in this room, including and especially your clients, are intellectually or creatively capable of doing. Did I adequately answer your condescending question?

Best Social Network Quotes by Erica Albright

Even though she had a relatively short amount of screen time, the character Erica (who was played by actress Rooney Mara) had some of the best lines in the movie. The following Social Network quotes also provided some humor in the movie:

Erica on dating Mark: Dating you is like dating a Stairmaster.

Erica on Facebook: Good luck with your video game.

Erica on guys who row crew: I just meant that I liked the idea of it... you know, the way a girl likes cowboys.

Erica on if she wants to talk about something else during her date with Mark: No, it's just since the beginning of the conversation about finals clubs I think I might've missed a birthday.

Best Social Network Quotes by Rooney Mara

Not only was actress Rooney Mara given some great lines, but she delivered them very impressively such as the following quote:

Erica Albright on the blog Mark wrote about her after they broke up: ...It didn't stop you from writing it as if everything thought that tumbles through your head was so clever it would be a crime for it not to be shared. The internet is not written in pencil, Mark, it's written in ink. And you published that Erica Albrecht was a bitch right before you made some ignorant crack about my family's name, my bra size, and then rated women based on their hotness. ... You write your snide comments from a dark room because that's what the angry do nowadays... I was nice to you, don't torture me for it.

I absolutely loved Social Network. To see more of Jesse Eisenberg, be sure to check out The Hunting Party - it also stars Richard Gere and Terence Howard, but Jesse Eisenberg is a stand out. I can't wait to see what he does next.
