This article ranks the best soundtracks of all time based on certified sales data maintained by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The top ten soundtrack rankings are shared by thirteen soundtracks with collective sales of 136 million units. Units include key formats such as records, cassettes, CDs, and MP3s.

These soundtracks comprise sixteen music genres and subgenres. Four of these soundtracks were recorded by solo artists.

Each soundtrack that follows includes its certified sales, recording artist(s), record label, release date, genre(s), and popular songs.
