The University of Illinois offers several great sports camps for boys. Campers will have the opportunity to improve skills and meet a few athletes. There are camps for Track & Field, Baseball, Basketball, Golf, Gymnastics, and Wrestling.
2009 Boys Track & Field Camp
2009 Boys Track & Field Camp for Boys, aged 12-18, is scheduled for July 5-8, 2009. The cost is $420 for resident campers and $310 for commuters. Check in time is July 5, between 5-6pm and checkout is July 8, at 11:30am.
Instructional training programs are offered in discus, hurdles, shot put, long jump, high jump, middle distance, sprints, pole vault, and triple jump. Fundamentals, body positions, and skill acquisition will be emphasized. Wayne Angel, the Head Men's Track & Field coach, will direct the sessions.
2oo9 Summer Baseball Camps
Dan Hartleb, the Head Baseball Coach, is the director of the 2oo9 Summer Baseball Camps. There are four sports summer camps to choose from.
The Complete Skills camp, for boys aged 7-18 is scheduled from June 7-10, 2009. The price is $355 for resident campers and $270 for commuters (7-year-old boys may only register as commuters). Check in time is June 7, from 12:30-1:30pm and checkout time is June 18, at 4:30pm.
Boys aged 12-18 have two sports camp choices, Pitching/Catching camp and Hitting Camp. Each camp costs $240 for resident campers and $180 for commuters.
Pitching/Catching camp is scheduled for June 14-16, 2009. Check in time is June 14, from 1-2pm and checkout is June 16, at 11:30am.
Hitting camp is scheduled for June 16-18, 2009. Check in time is June 16, from 1-2pm and checkout is June 18, at 11:30am.
If your son wishes to attend both Pitching/Catching camp and Hitting Camp, there is a Combo package available that offers a $40 discount for resident campers ($440 for both camps) and a $20 discount for commuters ($340 for both camps).
College Prep Evaluation/Exposure Session Camp, for boys aged 14-19, is offered July 26-30, 2009. The price is $385 for resident campers and $290 for commuters. Check in time is July 26, from 12:30-1:30pm and checkout time is July 30, at 11:30am.
2009 Summer Boys Basketball Camps
Individual Camp-1, for boys ages 8-18,is scheduled for June 14-17, 2009. Check in is June 14, from 11-2pm and checkout is June 17, at 1pm.
Individual Camp-2, for boys ages 8-18, is scheduled for June 24-27, 2009. Check in is June 24, from 11-2pm and checkout is June 27, at 1pm.
Individual Camp price for resident campers is $340 and $275 for commuters.
Senior High Team Camp, for boys' High School Teams, is scheduled for June 19-21, 2009. Resident price is $200 per team member and the commuter price is $175 per team member. Check in is June 19, 1-3pm and checkout is June 21, at 1pm.
Day Camp, for boys entering grades 3-8 in the fall of 2009, is scheduled for June 29 - July 2, 2009. The price for each commuter is $185 with lunch and $170 without lunch. Check in is June 29, from 11:30-1pm and checkout is July 2, at 3pm.
The director of the 2009 Summer Boys Basketball Camps is Bruce Weber, Head Men's Basketball Coach.
2009 Boys Gymnastics Camp
The 2009 Boys Gymnastics Instructional Camp, for Boys age 7 - 18, is scheduled from July 8-12, 2009. The price is $510 for resident campers and $380 for commuters. 18-year old boys must be in high school to attend. There is a discount available for groups of 8 or more.
There are three sessions available for University of Illinois' 2009 Summer Wrestling Camps, Individual Camp and two Team Camps.
Individual Camp, for boys ages 8-18, is offered June 7-11, 2009. The price is $420 for resident campers and $270 for commuters.
Team Camp-Session 1 is offered June 14-18, 2009 and Team Camp-Session 2 is offered June 21-25. Team Camp-Sessions 1 and 2 are available for boys' high school teams. There is a 10-athlete minimum and a deposit is required for each team. Price, per team member is $400 for resident camper and $280 for each commuter.
Parents or Guardians are required to complete and sign an Emergency Medical Information Form, which is included in the confirmation mailing. This form is necessary for campers to participate in camp activities.
