As any Nascar fan will tell you, or rather, scream at you while smashing a beer can against his forehead, the only way to watch the Daytona 500 is with as many other rabid Nascar fans as you can find. The following lists the top sportsbars in the Flint, Michigan area with special honors for hosting the most popular Nascar and Daytona 500 events:

Hooter's is known, in any circle, for having really great food, so it is worth the trip on any day.

AJ Racer's - 4020 N. Dort Hwy, Flint (810)736-8888

AJ Racer's is a common hangout in Flint for the Nascar enthusiast, and of course, for the 51st Daytona 500, the staff of AJ Racer's is gearing up for one wild party. Ample large screen TV's, good food, and enthusiastic staffers make AJ's a great place to hang out and take in the races. Located just outside of Flint, near I-75 and M-57, with 16 TV's and a 50 inch flatscreen above the fireplace, Joe's Garage is a great place to relax, take in some great food, and casually enjoy the Daytona 500. Joe's has been open since 2007, and has a loyal clientele of "regulars". Hooters is #1- you make me laugh! I hear that it's so cold in Flint that being indoors anywhere is good!
