Scenario: It's '007, and you've made a resolution to settle down with that special someone. Proposing is difficult to do. It certainly helps to have the perfect place and time to pop the question. Hart Plaza. As the premier gathering spot of downtown Detroit, Hart Plaza rests right on the river and is host to several festivals and concerts that come to the city. Campus Martius. After making its debut in 2004, Campus Martius in downtown Detroit has attracted people from all over the city. If you're a fan of Northern winters, head downtown for an ice-skating excursion and propose over a cup of hot chocolate or in the center of the rink.

Comerica Park or Ford Field. Got game? Detroit sports teams have amazing reputations. On the River. You may not want to fish in the Detroit River, but you can still relish in the beauty of sitting on the water, with Windsor to one side and Detroit on the other. People Mover. The subway in the sky may not take you around the entire city but if you'd like a closer view of the downtown skyline, take a ride on the People Mover. The name says it all; so let your mate know that you'd like to move on to something more permanent while soaring above the busy streets of Detroit.
