Niagara Falls is known by most for it's breathtaking beauty. It is also an important source of hydroelectric power. Niagara Falls is located on the border of Canada and the United States; this wonder of the world is shared between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, New York and Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Some Interesting Facts about Niagara Falls:

*The Falls connect Lake Erie and the Niagara River to Lake Ontario.
*The Falls are approximately 180 feet in height, which isn't necessarily high but they are approximately 4,000 feet wide (all three falls combined).

Why Propose at Niagara Falls?
If you want to make your marriage proposal momentous and memorable you should consider proposing somewhere that is momentous and memorable. This is why Niagara Falls is the perfect spot to propose!
On the American side there are many locations that lend to the magic of marriage proposal. The Niagara Falls State Park is a spectacular park setting that surrounds the American Falls. Renowned landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted designed this park. The view of the Falls is superb. The park also offers numerous hiking trails. The rim path extends from the Horseshoe Falls and leads to the Whirlpool Rapids. The Rapids are an experience all in itself. The power of the water is truly spectacular and the trails are very close to the water's edge.
My personal favorite romantic spot in Niagara Falls is on Goat Island. This is where my husband and I "fell in love". Goat Island is accessible via a walking bridge or a driving bridge. It is located between the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The picturesque paths and scenery compliment the magical Niagara Falls and mysterious Niagara Rapids. Take time to explore on Goat Island and take in the beauty of Three Sisters Islands and Terrapin Point. You won't be disappointed!
On the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, Queen Victoria Park is the place to go to experience the magic and propose to your loved one. Queen Victoria Park features a collection of diverse, beautifully landscaped plants, flowers, greenery, rock garden, and tea rose garden. The park's landscape is breathtaking and lends to the magic of the falls. The park is open year round and entry is free of charge. Each season highlights the beauty of the change of season with the landscape and illumination of not only the landscape but also Niagara Falls at night.
Niagara Falls is the perfect place to take the momentous step and propose to the one you love. If you live nearby, take a day trip and create your memory. If you don't live nearby, plan a long weekend and take in the magic of Niagara Falls and when the moment hits, pop the big question to your loved one. Not only will you experience this absolute wonder of the world but you will also be able to take in all of the tourist experiences that compliment Niagara Falls!
