There are numerous romantic places to eat in New York City but you have to know where to look. One of the best places is in Brooklyn in an area known as Shepshead Bay. There are several romantic restaurants and the best and most romantic restaurants I would like to talk about are Lundan Lennis, Fisherman's Warf and Jolly Fisherman. Brooklyn in New York City has over 1 million restaurants and many fine dining places. These places are filled with young and old couple just wanting to have a romantic time.

Lunden Lennis is a restaurant that has been around for quite some time. It is restaurant that serves almost every type of food and the service is great. The wide range of food includes seafood, pasta, steak, and chicken. The seafood is the best as the restaurant is located right off the harbor. The service is great as waiters constantly come around to ask if you want anything else to drink or eat. The bus boys circulate often to replenish your water and to take your empty dishes. The waiters are friendly and if there is anything wrong with your food, which there rarely is, they will replace it right away, no questions asked. The prices are a little high as you pay around $18-$23 for a fish dish but by the end of the meal you are full as the fish comes with vegetables and rice which is more than enough food. The breadsticks and rolls are very good. The atmosphere is what sticks out at you that make the place romantic. Each table has a small candlelight and the lights are dimmed. There are secluded tables in the corner for you to have a conversation with your date without being disturbed. In addition, classy jazz music plays in the background, which adds to the ambiance of the place.

The Jolly Fisherman is another Seafood restaurant that is often filled with young couples. The prices are great as fish is no more than $20 and the liquor flows at each table, which is pretty cheap. The waiters pour you martinis at request right before your eyes. Every meal comes with so much food as every dish is a complete dinner with soup or salad, bread rolls, soda or coffee and desert. There is valet parking outside so that you don't have to wait for a parking spot. The waitresses and waiters all carry flowers on their suit or dress and are very nice and charming people. The tables also have candlelight and small flowers in the middle of the table. There is also a dance floor in the middle of the room with slow music playing in the background so couples can hold each other in their arms for a romantic night.

Finally, Fisherman's Warf is a restaurant that has outside seating on the harbor overlooking the lake where couples can sit and talk to each other in the nice warm weather. Couples watch the moonlight and candle lit tables in the romantic atmosphere. Prices are reasonable and the service is very good.

Another great restaurant in Brooklyn is called the Bogotá Bistro. This small yet cozy and comfortable is a favorite place for people to go. On Valentines Day this place is absolutely packed, as you need to call at least one week in advance for a reservation. Latin music is played and Latin dishes are served. The food is excellent and often for Valentines Day there are set prices and dishes on the menu. The restaurant is located on 141 Fifth Avenue. It is a great place to take a date.

The last restaurant I would like to mention is called Stan's place. French cuisine is the chef's specialty and an eight-course meal is served to you. Prices may be expensive but they are well worth it for the great time you will have.
