This Valentine's Day, many couples will search for the perfect restaurant where they can spend a pleasant evening. But there are a limited number of fine restaurants that are romantic enough for such a special date. Even worse, most of these restaurants are filling their reservation books fast. Here are some suggestions for romantic restaurants in the Dallas area. These will be able to help you set the tone for a perfect Valentine's Day.

Antares is a restaurant that revolves, giving you a full view of the skyline. Even though many cities have these type restaurants, there are several things that make this one unique. First, the Dallas skyline is impressive. There are enough skyscrapers to give it a big city feel, but not so many that the skyline is crowded. This makes Dallas one of the best skylines in the world. Second, The Antares is located inside the Reunion Tower. This structure is one of the most unique towers anywhere with a large glass dome that site atop a needle-like tower. There are three levels to the tower, and Antares is on the second level. Their menu is impressive and will delight anyone. The location is considered to be the most romantic restaurant in Dallas. The owners estimate that eight marriage proposals and six anniversaries are celebrated there each week. With this staggering number, the staff is certainly used to such a sight, and they can assist you with anything special you have in mind. The Antares is located at 300 Reunion Boulevard in Dallas, and their phone number is (214)712-7145. Reservations are recommended and business casual dress is requested.

The French Room is an exceptional restaurant, even without the romance. Once you set foot in there with your date, it becomes even more special. The French Room was rated "5 out of 5 Stars for Food, Service, Atmosphere and Overall" by The Dallas Morning News. They also have been rated the "#1 Hotel Restaurant in America" by Zagat Survey, a name which carries some weight with restaurant patrons accustomed to fine dining. As the name suggest, they specialize in French cuisine. The decor is also French themed. There are hand-blown crystal chandeliers underneath an 18ft domed ceiling. Their meals are sumptuous, and the chef takes care to use the freshest ingredients available. The French Room is located within The Adolphus Hotel at 1321 Commerce Street, and their phone number is (800)221-9083.

The Restaurant at The Mansion on Turtle Creek is a luxuriously decorated spot to dine at a luxuriously decorated mansion. Curiously, it is without a proper name, and is simply referred to as The Restaurant. Their dining tables are spread far apart so that you can enjoy your own private oasis while dining on excellent food. There are quite a few of the main dishes that are seafood, however there are some beef and chicken dishes for those who desire it. There is also a chef's six course tasting menu. The mansion itself is a beautifully decorated former private residence. It has been rated as the top US hotel by Zagat and the top hotel for service in the world and the top US hotel by Travel + Leisure Magazine. Their restaurant offers nothing less than a hotel of this caliber would demand. Be forewarned: a jacket is required and tie recommended, and reservations are necessary. Their address is 2821 Turtle Creek Blvd., and the phone number is (214)559-2100.

Regardless of whether you are a new couple or not, these restaurants are romantic enough to inspire you to act like a new couple. With their dim lighting, their fine cuisine, and their beautiful atmosphere, they know how to set the stage for a couple to spend a romantic evening together.
