Best Spots for a Romantic Dinner in Hickory, NC

The city of Hickory, NC is filled with an array of restaurants to choose from. It is, however, difficult to find ones that are suitable for a romantic dinner. I have found a few places that may suffice for a romantic dinner.

Outback Steakhouse: The Outback Steakhouse is a wonderful place to dine. The menu has enough variety to satisfy many patrons. Steak of course is tops on the list, but my personal favorite is the Chicken Griller. This dish features a grilled chicken breast served with grilled veggies and grilled pineapple all on a bed of rice. The frozen fuzzy navels are also a hit from the bar. The "outback" atmosphere and dimmed lights are sure to please.

The Peddler: The Peddler is listed as one of Hickory's finest, but also has a price tag to match. Steak is in abundance on the menu at this classy restaurant, but they also have a few other choices as well. If price is no option then this may very well be tops on your list. Remember to call ahead for a reservation.

McGuffey's: The menu aims to please at this amazingly good old fashioned eatery. You can sip on drinks from the bar while you wait or enjoy one of the many appetizers available. The Blackened Chicken Pasta, a McGuffey's signature specialty, will definitely leave you craving for more. This dish is of course a blackened chicken breast served on a bed of pasta smothered with McGuffey's special sauce. This restaurant is also fairly priced and the food is excellent.

The Red Lobster: This restaurant, as the name suggests, mainly serves seafood. You can also choose from a small selection of steak or chicken. The lobster is a good quality and the other seafood selections as great as well.

Olive Garden: This Italian style restaurant is a great spot for a romantic dinner. The endless array of pasta dishes to choose from, superb salad, and wine choices make this an excellent selection. The stuffed rigatoni is a personal favorite. The staff are well educated on which wines go well with each dish, and the atmosphere at this Italian style eatery will put you in a romantic mood any day of the week.
