Best Spots for a Romantic Dinner in Manhattan, NY

Daniel Rein
Manhattan is the heart of New York City and has some of the best restaurants in all of the United States. You can find pretty much anything in Manhattan including all different types of cuisines, atmospheres and prices on the menu. Here are my choices for the most romantic restaurants to go to in Manhattan.

The first restaurant I would like to talk about is called Ruth's Steak Bar and Grill. The restaurant is located in midtown Manhattan and is a very romantic place indeed. The restaurant is very pricey and the average cost per person is usually thirty to forty dollars. However, in terms of service, it gets no better than Ruth's steak House and grill. Ruth's Steak House and Grill is a top notch restaurant that has the kind of service you only dream about. For example, perhaps you may have seen restaurants in movies that pick up your napkin when you drop it. Well, this restaurant actually does it. If you like top of the line service in a charming atmosphere then this is definitely the place for you. The room is dark and the lights are dimmed to give you a more personal feel. This is definitely not the type of restaurant that families take their kids too. Small candles light the table and there are incense candles in the air. The waiters and head manager are available at once with the raise of a finger or hand and will get you whatever you want. If you have any complaints about any of the food being too cold or warm, they will immediately replace it for you. The only concern I have and other people have with this restaurant is that some of the portions for the food tend to be rather small and quality is emphasized rather than quantity. On each person's plate, the items on the plate are arranged very delicately by the chef so that everything looks perfect and is arranged in a very aesthetic manner. Still, for the high prices that you pay, some people deserve better portions of food instead of paying $5 for a small baked potato.

The Manhattan Bistro is another great restaurant located in downtown Manhattan. The restaurant is small and gets very crowded on weekend nights, especially Friday and Saturday nights. The restaurant hires two chefs only and the service can sometimes be slow. However, the wait is usually worth it as the food is scrumptious. Portions are of average size and prices are a little higher than average. The mood is romantic as tables are seated far apart from each other and old Victorian Age paintings hang on the wall. The bread rolls are also very good but their meat dishes, especially their chicken is very tasty.

The third and final restaurant that I would like to discuss is Casa Bella Ristorante, located in the Little Italy district in Manhattan. Manhattan has small communities of ethnicities such as Little Italy or China Town that have people of similar ethnicities who bond together and live in buildings together. They also develop their own shops and restaurants of their own culture that they bring to New York. The Casa Bella Ristorante has thick pasta dishes that are plentiful and are of enormous portions. There are tables for seating outside on a nice warm sunny day and the waitresses and waiters are very friendly and charming. The pastas are served in rich creamy sauces and you will love the food so much that you will be craving for dessert. In addition, the prices are very reasonable and the average person pays usually no more than twenty dollars for a complete meal.

Enjoy your meal!
