Best Spots for a Romantic Dinner Near Louisburg

With Valentine's Day coming up you may be searching for ideas on where to take your sweetheart for a romantic dinner. Even on non-calendar-marked holidays and occasions a romantic dinner is a welcomed surprise. Several restaurants in and near Louisburg can present you and your loved one with a nice dinner that brings out your inner love for one another.

Doug Saul's - Doug Saul's is a small Barbecue and Seafood restaurant in Nashville, about 15 minutes from Louisburg. You may have passed by it a few times without even knowing it's there! Doug Saul's is tucked away behind a few tall trees off of Western Avenue. Keep your eyes open because they do have a small sign outside stating their presence if you get lost. The restaurant is small, with one side being a take-out side, and the other half is the sit-down, eat-in part. Doug Saul's creates a romantic dinner ambiance due to its down-home, quaint, pleasing demeanor. Start with a glass of sweet tea and hushpuppies. The barbecue at Doug Saul's is my absolute favorite. It's a bit greasy, but if your sweetie doesn't mind, then it doesn't hurt anything. If you don't want barbecue, you can order crispy fried chicken or a fresh seafood dish. You also have a long list of sides to choose from including a variety of vegetables and of course french fries. Let me clarify that Doug Saul's is only for those seeking REAL Southern food. Don't leave without sharing a bowl of banana pudding with your sweetheart. It is delicious!

Angus Junction - The Angus Junction towards the end of Bickett Blvd is Louisburg's finest dining experience. The restaurant is inside of an old two-story barn shaped building. Walk into the inside and the country feeling continues. The restaurant has a dark, rustic flair - which is perfect for a quiet, romantic steak dinner for two. You can either dine upstairs or downstairs in a booth. It doesn't really matter which - neither is better than the other. The wait staff is friendly and very professional at the Angus Junction. Don't expect cheap food like burgers at the Angus Junction. Instead, your romantic dinner will include your choice of steaks, shrimp, and such. Typical dinners feature loaded baked potatoes and a house or Caesar salad and rolls. Dress is casual here, but most people dine a bit dressy. Some evenings there is a live band playing tunes.

Remington Grill - The Remington Grill, on Bickett Blvd in front of Walmart, is an Old West atmosphere restaurant relatively new to Louisburg. The establishment features Western-themed walls and decor as well as friendly staff. It mixes a grill with a sit-down eatery, but it can be romantic nonetheless. You order your food at the counter then pick it up when they call you - in about 10 minutes. Their menu includes ribs, steak, and bbq platters with cole slaw, fries, and toast. There are also soups and salads, fresh hot sandwiches, fajitas, and burgers. It's not a fancy steakhouse like the Angus Junction, but offers a reasonable environment for you both to enjoy a romantic dinner.

Sometimes the choice of restaurant doesn't have to be big and expensive. The best romantic dinners can often be found at small, "down-home" places such as the three I listed above. They have a more quiet, friendly, intimate feeling than other falsely-amorous restaurant invitations.
