Are you looking for the Christmas stocking stuffer for a gamer? These six choices are on the Christmas wish lists of every gamer without a doubt.

1. Left 4 Dead (PC, Xbox 360, PS3)

Probably the most anticipated co-op multiplayer shooter for the last two years. From the makers of Counter-Strike and Team Fortress 2, this zombie shooter puts you in the shoes of one of four survivors. Each of the four survivors is another gamer, connected somewhere in the world, helping his fellow gamers ("survivors") to stay alive. Relentless hordes of zombies flood the area based on how well you are doing. This is truly a game of strategy, teamwork, and on-the-fly strategies. Should you hide in a bathroom and wait for the zombies to come or toss a Molotov cocktail and go out will guns blazing? Should you heal your teammate who is badly hurt or use the med pack on yourself? This game makes Resident Evil feel like Christmas.

2. Fallout 3 (PC, Xbox 360, PS3)

A hi-tech shooter role-playing game based in the ruins of Washington D.C. You are able to go wherever you want whenever you want. The graphics are top-notch as well as the ability to complete quests in different ways. This game will allow for good thirty or more hours, depending on how deep you are willing to explore. If you want to run around Washington D.C. in the year 2277 with futuristic gadgets, this is your ideal candidate.

3. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3)

The details in graphics in Metal Gear 4 are near ridiculous. You can always count of Metal Gear Solid for a rich story-telling experience. This is exactly why people would rather play video games instead of watching television. The artificial intelligence in these games keeps getting better every year. Be prepared to come up with a plan of attack because you will need it. The only place enemies are more real is in real-life. A must have for every owner of the PS3.

4. Far Cry 2 (PC, Xbox 360, PS3)

It is true that Far Cry 1 was an incredibly realistic, "open world" shooter a few years back. Can Far Cry 2 live up to its predecessor? The answer is yes, but don't expect a sequel. This is a totally new game in a brand new location. Africa. Who has ever based a game in Africa? Ubisoft does an exceptional job of putting you in the middle of the fight for "blood diamonds". You can join different gangs and make them turn on each other. You have never seen a flame thrower burn down a tree this realistic. Based on you gaming style, you can tackle missions in different ways and of course, there will be different outcomes. See if you can get out of this one alive, just don't die of malaria.

5. Dead Space (PC, Xbox 360, PS3)

It's a quite simple concept. You are in space, loaded with guns. All you have to do is survive. Sounds easy enough, right? Wrong. There is no heads up display! You are trapped in space, with alien creatures that eat flesh for breakfast. The only option is to fight back, in the dark. The lighting effects in this game are creepy and you better be ready for surprises, horror surprises that is.

6. Guitar Hero World Tour (PC, Xbox 360, PS3)

What is not to like about Guitar Hero? This game is seriously addictive, even for people that don't like games. More bands, more tracks, more online features, sing, and this time you get drums! Want to make your own music? World Tour lets you create your own songs and share them over the internet. A must have for every newbie and die-hard Guitar Hero fan alike.
