Carters - Excellent for pajamas and undershirts. Great for newborn clothing. Excellent sales and promotions. I am not a fan of their actual shirts and pants for sale. The designs are outdated.
Osh Kosh B'gosh - Excellent for pants. My son is very difficult to buy for. He is on the bigger side but not as tall. So I could find pants that fit his waist but are way too long. Osh Kosh was able to sell me pants that fit my son perfectly. Strange enough though I was only able to buy them in blue because the other colors were too long. I guess they are all different. I ended up purchasing 5 blue pairs that has worn all winter. They wash fantastically. They haven't lost their color or their thickness. Trust me, my son has worn them a million times and they are still in great shape.
Gap - You can't go wrong with The Gap. The only problem is that their prices for children's clothes are way too high. I have found that if you wait long enough all of their clothes will go on sale. When the sales start I am the first one their and have never had a problem finding my son's size. They designs are hip and their quality is unbeatable. You can wash a piece of Gap clothing over and over and it never looks old. Love The Gap!
Old Navy - Not as good as The Gap. I know that they are the same company but Old Navy is supposed to be a little less quality than The Gap therefore selling their clothes at cheaper prices. Their designs are good just like The Gap but nowhere near as good quality. I can can great sales at Old Navy. They do have my favorite socks though for my son. My son hates to wear slippers he pulls them right off. Old Navy sells grippie socks that are nice and thick. They are anklets and I can't get enough of them. I usually buy them at bulk from Old Navy.com.
Babies R Us - This store is only good for newborn clothes. They stop selling at about 3T or 4t depending on what you are looking for. If you are shopping for your newborn they do sell onesies, pajamas, and other brand names. What for sales though you don't want to over pay.
Department Stores - I am not a fan of shopping at department stores for myself of my son. I am overwhelmed and can never find anyone to help.
Gymboree - I have had some luck here but these clothes are expensive. Wait until they run a sale and then go in. The quality is very good though if you can find a sale.
Kohl's - Great sales you can't go wrong. They even sell Carters and other brand names.
Target - I don't buy any clothes at this store. I love Target for everything else just not clothes. Their brand name Circo is horrible. The quality is awful. They don't last through one wash cycle. Don't waste your money on this brand.
I hope these suggestions have helped. Since time is always of the essence this list will help you decide which store to go to and which ones not to waste time going to.
