Aspertame has no sugar or calories in it. It is recommended to not use a lot of this sugar substitute at one time however because of certain health risks. However, if you do want something with no sugar at all this substitute is a decent one to use in small amounts.

Honey can be considered a great substitute for sugar. Honey itself contains its own natural sugars and can be very sweet. For Diabetics honey may still not be the best substitute to use, but using just a little honey can be very delightful. If you look on Equal's website this product is supported by the America Diabetes Association. This sweetener is a great product to use just like you would with sugar. However, it is still good to maintain use the serving amount that is recommended.

Splenda is the closest thing that comes close to sugar in the sugar substitute world. Splenda has no calories and can be found in a lot of well known products. A lot of different companies are replacing sugar with splenda for their products. Splenda can be found in ice cream, bake good, and all kinds of brands. Splenda taste just as good as sugar does, and can be found in any major grocery store.

Stevia has no sugar or calories. This sugar substitute is very unique from all the others. Unlike Splenda or Equal, Stevia is a Liquid Sugar Substitute. This sugar substitute is one of the healthiest products out there. It is the best for diabetics, and alternative seekers. This sugar substitute also comes in many different flavors including: regular, Apricot nectar, chocolate, root beer, raspberry, and many more. The flavors make this sugar substitute a very versatile product to use depending on what you are mixing it with. Another great thing about this liquid substitute is that you only need to put a few drops in to have a sweet treat. This product may be harder to find than the rest, but usually can be found in most health food stores in the herbal supplement area.
