Choosing a summer camp for your child can be a challenge. Whether you want a camp that will help your child develop a skill or you just want a place for your child to have fun and make new friends, Missouri has the perfect summer camp for your child.

YMCA Camp Lakewood

YMCA Camp Lakewood offers a traditional camping experience for kids, aged 6-17. Specialty programs include a ranger program, horsemanship, leadership development, and many others. Most sessions are one or two weeks long. Prices are set up on a 3-tiered scale, according to each family's ability to pay.

Mini Camp, for ages 6-8, is 4 days long and costs $239.

Main Camp, for ages 8-12, and costs $449 for six days or $499 for one week.

Junior Ranger, for ages 10-12, and costs $479 for one week.

Ranger 1, for ages 13-16, and costs $479 for one week.

Teen Camp, for ages 13-16, and costs $499 for one week or $899 for two weeks.

Ranger 2, for ages 14-17, and costs $849 for two weeks.

LDP (Leadership Development), for ages 15-16, and costs $849 for two weeks.

The CIT (Counselor in Training) session, for ages 16-17, is three weeks long and costs $799.

Washington University Computer Camps

Summer day camps and overnight camps are available where your child can have fun, while learning valuable computer skills. At a 6:1 ratio, your child will get plenty of individualized instruction to excel in his or her chosen courses.

It's not all work though! Your child will enjoy some fun in the summer sun playing capture the flag, ultimate Frisbee, and many other activities.

Junior Courses include Adventures in Game Design (for ages 7-10), Create Your Own Adventure (for ages 7-10), and Game & Web Design Hybrid (for ages 9-12).

Game Design Courses include Game Creation- Arcade & Platform (for ages 10-15), 3D Game Design- Role Playing Games (for ages 10-17), 3D Game Design- 1st Person Shooters (for ages 12-17), and 3D Game Design- Unreal Engine 3 (for ages 13-17).

A Game Modding Course, Game Modding- Warcraft® lll (for ages 10-17), and a Programming Course, Programming in C++ or Java (for ages 12-17) is offered.

Web & Graphic Design Courses include Graphic Arts (for ages 10-17) and Web Design & Flash® Animation (for ages 10-17).

Camp Options

Day Camp is available for kids, aged 7-17. The price for Day Camp is $704 (regular price is $779). Lunch is an additional $50 per week. Day Camp starts at 9am and goes until 5pm Monday through Thursday. Friday the hours are 9am until 3:30pm.

Extended Summer Day Camp is available for kids, aged 7-17. The price for Day Camp is $874 (regular price is $949). Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the price. Extended Summer Day Camp starts at 7:30am and goes until 7pm Monday through Thursday. Friday the hours are 7:30am until 3:30pm.

Residential Camp is available for kids, aged 10-17. The price for Day Camp is $1,124 (regular price is $1,199). Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the price. Check-In is on Sunday at 6pm and checkout is on Friday at 3:30pm.

Camp Jump Start

Camp Jump Start, for ages 10-17, is a traditional co-ed summer camp that provides nutritional information, fitness activities, and behavior modification to help young people lose weight and learn life-long healthy eating habits.

The caring, professional staff addresses each child's individual needs to help him or her develop self-esteem and reach full potential.

Horseback riding, fishing, field hockey, and canoeing in the lake are just a few of the many activities offered at Camp Jump Start.

There are three sessions available at Camp Jump Start. There are two 4-week Sessions and one 8-week session.

Session One is a 4-week session that begins on Sunday, June 14, 2009, and goes until Saturday, July 11, 2009. The price for Session One is $3595.

Session Two is a 4-week session that begins on Sunday, July 12, 2009, and goes until Saturday, August 8, 2009. The price for Session Two is $3595.

Session Three is an 8-week session that begins on Sunday, June 14, 2009, and goes until Saturday, August 8, 2009. The price for Session Three is $6595.

Cub Creek Science Camp

Cub Creek Science Camp is located at Bear River Ranch, in Rolla, Missouri. Cub Creek combines traditional summer camp with science camp, zoo camp and animal camp.

Campers, ages: 7 - 16, may participate in a junior veterinarian program, a crime science course, physics, chemistry, or one of the many other hands-on courses available.

Camp Sessions are divided into 2, 4, or 6 week sessions.

Two Week Programs cost $1400 and are available June 28 - July 11, July 12- July 25, and July 26 - August 8.

Four Week Programs cost $2800 and are available June 28 - July 25 and July 12 - Aug 8.

The Six Week Program cost $4000 and is available June 28 - August 8.
