When that time of the year comes around, Coloradans are prone to start thinking about all of the great outdoor scenery that we can possibly see in the next three months. Job seekers who are still foot loose without a load of responsibilities are no different. Check out these great summer jobs for the unencumbered worker.

Great Summer Job in Colorado, Winter Park

If an outdoor job is what you crave, or if you would be happy just being close to the outdoor's,
nothing is better than Winter Park. It's amazing how many attractions are fit into Winter Park.
Outdoor climbing walls, miniature golf, bungee and that's only half of the outdoor attractions that are available for a great summer job.

If the indoor environment is closer to your calling, never fear, there is plenty of indoor available at Winter Park. Positions are open for summer program attendants. There is always room for the refreshment and food servers. When the guests come back to the lodge after an all day hike, housekeeping makes sure that the rooms are ready for a good night's sleep. To top everything off, the park definitely needs maintenance and janitorial staff to help the park function at a high level.

Great Summer Job in Colorado Springs Eagle Lake
Young Christians, who love the outdoors and working with young people, will find a home at Eagle lake camp. The campground is approximately nine miles from Colorado Springs. Pikes Peak stands its silent vigil over the camp.

The candidates who are hired to be excursion counselors will be kept very busy. Your duties include: mountain climbing, backpacking, wilderness skill and a virtual smorgasbord of outdoor activities.

Residential counselors are in demand because the camp tries to keep a high counselor to a camper ratio. Your duties would include leading youth groups in activities such as: hiking, fishing, sailing, bible study and more.

Great Summer Job in Colorado Springs Trails Work crew leader
Be advised, being a Trails Work crew leader is not for everyone. You and your crew of ten young men will work on public land across seven counties of the Front Range. Sometimes you and your crew will camp for two to three weeks at the work site.

Crew leaders are expected to manage the crew and monitor their safety. Even though you are in the field, you still have the duties of any regular manager. There are jobs to be coordinated with project sponsors and field supervisors. Time sheets, evaluations, and corrective reports all have to be completed during your work day.

The qualifications for this summer job include, first aid and CPR certifications. A familiarity with hand tools is a must. The full list of qualifications can be found at the Trails Work website.
