Best Summer Movies of 2009

Gecko Joe
Transformers 2
Sam enters college and has to leave his parents home. Before everything is packed however, he finds a piece of the All-Spark in his old clothes. All the information contained gets scanned in his brain. As he gets settled in his new dorm, he meets a conspiracy loving room-mate and a girl that appears out of nowhere. While this is going on, the Auto-bots learn that Decepticons are on the rise again. A furious battle ensues, and a main character dies. But this time they get help from an unexpected source, from a museum! Megatron is revived and wants what is inside Sam's brain. Will an old enemy from Sector 7, new Auto-bots, and the military be enough to stop the Decepticons evil plan? As I watched this film, I wondered about a few things, but overall it was a great movie experience. The action scenes are more than epic, great special effects, and a lot of heart. What more could you ask for in one the best movies of summer 2009 ?

The Hangover
A group of friends decide to party it up in Las Vegas before one of them tie the knot. But by the next day, they might have partied a little too much. All types of things are in their room that are not suppose to be there, like a chicken, and a baby in another room. So as they try to remember what they did last night, its a race against the clock because one of them is suppose to get married the next day! It may seem like a worn out premise of a group of guys forgetting what they did in Las Vegas, but this film takes it to whole new levels. Ridiculous antics happen along the way, and it has been awhile since a good comedy of this caliber has come along. A good script and a good cast in a good setting. As far as comedies go, this is one of the top summer movies of 2009.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blooded Prince
Harry has to take a journey through the memories of Lord Voldemort. Also, Harry is a bit more grown up and dabbles in a bit of romance as well. It seems that the series gets darker and darker, and movie fans are in for a surprise.... I'm no big fan of Harry Potter, but I can tell that this is a major turning point in the series. Expect amazing special effects and good acting as well. This is going to be a good stand out movie.

The Final Destination
A young man sees in advance how people in the stand at a race are going to die.....so he tell his friends what he saw. As they escape the jaws of death, they think that it's all over. This film start off like all the other Final Destinations, but what will make this a great summer movie? The fact that this is the last in the series, AND that it's in 3D. (Don't worry, it won't be lame like My Bloody Valentine 3D. ) As far as horror films go in America, it's all about the blood and gore. With that in mind, The Final Destination is sure to have plenty of that.

G.I. Joe
An elite unit of soldiers battle Cobra, an evil operation bent on doing the world harm. So why did this film make the list? I'm still pretty young and I still recall the G.I. Joe animated series. It was full of action, fights, and that bastard Destro was always up to no good. What's really going make this movie shine is not the explosions, or the fight scenes, or the women in their outfits. It's going to be the battle between Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow!!
Any guy who remembers how cool these two guys were are probably drooling with anticipation!! Also, since G.I. Joe is the first action figure ever made, imagine the movie!!!
