Best Surfboard for Florida Waves

You might think that I am going to write about a brand of surfboard, but you can find many brands of surfboards all over the globe. If you do not chose the correct surfboard for the waves you want to surf and your ability you will be very disappointed. Because you may not be able to catch as many waves as you want if you do not have the correct stick. Florida's waves are in general produced by local wind conditions. So many of the times you will be surfing wind chop. If you are not familiar with wind chop. The waves are disorganize and close out more than swells generated from farther away.

Sometimes these wind events generate heavy side currents and you can get swept away down the beach if you are not careful. Its always a good idea to know where you are going to surf and talk to people that have surfed the area before. This will give you a slight advantage over most of the new surfers.
