Well, I've done a bit of the work for you by weeding out those that do not actual pay. All of the companies I have listed I have been paid for and know many other people who have been paid as well. These sites are the best survey sites out there that will actual will pay you cash, well a check or through PayPal.
I recommend creating a separate email account for signing up for surveys. This will keep some of the unrelated emails you might get from certain companies from infiltrating your regular account.
Also, never pay to join a survey site. Why would you pay them when they're supposed to be paying you? Don't be fooled into that one.
And now, onto the survey sites.
Surveyspot
www.surveyspot.com
I am huge fan of this site. They will send you emails stating when you have a survey you can take. When you receive the email, it will outline the terms of the survey. You will receive cash reward surveys as well as surveys that, once completed, will enter you into a drawing for a prize. I only do the cash surveys unless I have a lot of free time to do the others. The range of cash awards I've received ranges from $5-$15, though I have heard that there are higher offers.
Survey Savvy
www.surveysavvy.com
This survey site will pay up to $20 per survey completed. What makes this site so great is it has a decent referral program. You will get $2 for each survey someone you refer completes and you also will get $1 for surveys completed by an indirect referral.
American Consumer Opinion Panel
www.acop.com
With this survey site, you can earn between $4-25 for every completed survey. Checks are generally mailed out within 4 weeks after the survey was completed.
Brand Institute
https://www.onlineglobalrecruiting.com/register_htm.asp
This survey site will pay between $10-30 for the surveys you complete. You are given the option to receive your payment through PayPal or a mailed check. I would recommend this survey site if you are in the medical field as most of their affiliated companies are medically related. You will notice the site that you go to sign up is Online Global Recruiting. That is a division of Brand Institute that handles their survey participants' sign-ups.
Pinecone Research
www.pineconeresearch.com
This company will pay $5 for each and every survey that you do with them. You can have it set up to go either to your PayPal account or they will mail you a check. My checks have all been dated the same day that I have taken the survey. They will notify you by email when there's a survey available for you.
The only thing to know about this survey site is that they don't often allow new members. You normally have to be referred by a member or find one of their links. This site http://www.internetpaidsurveys.com/survey2.htm (scroll to the bottom of the page) is known to often have links to sign up. If you can get on with this survey site, I highly recommend it.

hello I have a few things to ask:
Is it possible to create an account in the US and use it in any other country I travel to? Will I still be receiving surveys as a US citizen? If it is possible, I can ask my daughter in the USA to open an account for me.
I am now in Mongolia and joined several different survey sites (all the best worldwide sites i could find online) here in Ulaanbaatar and the problem is everytime i log in and check for surveys it ALWAYS says there are no available surveys in your country(It’s been 2 months since I joined the survey sites). How can I fix this?
Do you have any idea if I can register Ulaanbaatar as my second desk?
Please help me.

The best survey sites I found were from WWW.BEENPAIDBY.COM
The best site by far is this one: http://bit.ly/hMpZZ7
It pays out extremely fast, plus there's really no effort needed to it.
Survey spot offered me a 15 minute survey for 50 cents. Don't waste your time there.
However, SurveySavvy has been pretty good for me. Use the referral code 4542649 on Survey Savvy if this information was helpful.
nice list. I would add opinion outpost though. it has been rather good to me
