9th Door is famous for Tapas and fine wines from Spain and South America. It is a place for adults to have a special night on the town. The menu is all Tapas priced from $3.00 to $12.00 with items like Marinated mixed Spanish olives and toasted Spanish almonds for $3, Mushroom and rice croquette with sherry and mushroom sauce for $5.00, An assortment of thinly-sliced Spanish and Mediterranean cured meat for $8.00, Baby back ribs with a pineapple brandy sauce for $7.00 and an assortment of Spanish meat, cheese, and vegetables for $12.00. Check the blackboard for daily specials and any item on the menu with an * is gluten free. 9th door also has some very special deserts such as Flan de Limon for $5, Chocolava for $6 and Frutas Sevillana for $6.
From the bar at 9th door, you can choose from a variety of speciality cocktails such as Spanish 75 which is made with Spanish cava, Indigo Spanish gin and lemon juice and 9th Door Lemon Drop Martini made with Ketel One Citroen vodka, fresh-squeezed lemon and simple syrup, a selection of domestic and imported beers, Spanish brandies and Tequilas. The wine selection changes depending on availability and includes sparkling wines, reds, whites and sherry.
9th Door also has special events every day. For instance, Monday thru Friday @ The 9th Door from 4:30pm - 6:30pm is Happy Hour. They also have a wine club and live entertainment as well as a DJ.
Notes on 9th door : Try to make your reservations as far in advance as possible. If you have to make them on the day you plan to come, you may have to flexible with your schedule. 9th Door is one of the Denver restaurants that is downtown in LoDo. LoDo is the home of Latimer Square, the birthplace of Denver. If you have trouble finding on street parking, which is metered , then you have the choice of parking garages such as Central Parking System 475 17th St. Denver, Colorado80202-4020 303-893-9402 or Ampco System Parking 621 17th St. Denver, Colorado 80293 303-573-812. LoDo is home to many of the Denver attractions, including Coors Field and many other Denver restaurants, so if something special is going on, be prepared for the area to be very crowded both with people and cars.
