Best Thin Crust Pizzerias in Boston
Just Because Boston Isn't Known for Great Pizza Doesn't Mean You Have to Settle!
Emma's Pizza
The thin crust capital of the MIT neighborhood, Emma's serves up super thin, super crispy pizza. Far from boring, Emma's puts a spin on pizza by giving you a choice of an assortment of toppings and sauces. Sweet potatoes, spinach and caramelized onions adorn the #3 pizza, while the #7 features pepperoni and hot cherry peppers. Definitely a place to check out if you're in Kendall Square and in the mood to try something new, such as #16, with gorgonzola, roasted tomato and crispy bacon (on that crispy crust!) One warning, seating and parking spaces are limited, so prepare to be flexible as you may have to wait for your turn. On the other hand, Emma's can be convenient for lunch as they also sell by the slice (though the selection there is more limited).
Pinocchio's Pizza & Subs
Appearances can deceive at this hole-in-the-wall pizzeria in Harvard Square. Pinocchio's serves affordable, no-frills thin crust pizza into the late hours of the night. The spinach, tomato basil, and pepper and onion pizzas are popular choices. Don't be discouraged if line stretches past the entrance, their service is speedy and you'll likely be crunching on your slice of crispy crust in a matter of minutes.
Pizzeria Regina
The fresh ingredients topping Pizzeria Regina's thin crust are the secret to their amazing taste. The friendly, diligent service will make any wait in line worth your time at this reasonably priced North End pizzeria. The spinach, meatball, cherry tomato, and four cheese pies are all great. Do make use of the olive oil at your table for dipping your crust! A couple of warnings: Pizzeria Regina only takes cash, so stock up before you go. Also note their pizza's come piping hot from their brick oven; it's hard to resist just going for it, but have patience if you don't want to burn yourself!
