The Centurion Palace
Condé Nast Traveler dubbed The Centurion Palace one of 2010's hottest hotels. If you ever wondered what it'd be like to live a day in the life of a Roman emperor, here's your chance. Tiled walkways lead up to the imposing Roman pillars that embody the luxury suite interior. Suites feature ornate ceilings and richly painted walls. No two suites are alike, so you never know pleasant surprises your room holds unless you specifically book your preference.
Bathrooms feature intricate décor as well with glistening metallic walls, marble flooring, state of the art sinks and circular showers.
On-site dining include the Antinco Restaurant and Jockey Bar situated with beautiful views of nearby columned buildings and private terrace gardens. Breakfast is complimentary.
Standard room rates begin around 270 Euros ($367).
Hotel Santa Marina Venezia
This four-star hotel offers all the amenities of an American accommodation - Wi-Fi, satellite TV, mini-bar, hair dryer, air conditioning and heating - with the expected beauty and royal atmosphere of a European palace. Though you would never guess just by looking at the colorfully painted, unassuming exterior.
Choose from classic, superior and junior suites decorated with fancy woodwork, rich wallpaper, chandeliers and plush bedding. Rooms are furnished with heavy drawn curtains for privacy (unlike many American hotels) and each room bears a unique theme.
Breakfast is included in your room rates, but there is no on-site restaurant for lunch and dinner dining, so you'll have to eat at a nearby restaurant. Shouldn't be difficult - there's trattorias everywhere in Venice!
Room rates begin around 144 Euros ($195).
Charming House iQs
Enjoy free wireless Internet and ultra-modern rooms at the Charming House iQs boutique hotel. Superior rooms and luxury suites occupy up to two adults and come equipped with in-room computer, private bathroom with shower or double shower, satellite TV and queen beds. More expensive rooms contain a fireplace, five to seven windows, a kitchen and separate living areas.
Rooms begin at 239 Euros ($325) per night and come with complimentary Italian breakfast.
