Nearly New Thrift Shop
Nearly New Thrift Shop, one of the oldest thrift shops in Atlanta, is located at 1715 Howell Mill Road in Atlanta. The shop is run by the Junior League of Atlanta, Inc., a 501c (3) organization of women dedicated to the improvement of the community. Nearly New Thrift Shop, known for its designer clothing at reduced prices, has been in business for over 60 years. Although anyone can donate to this thrift shop, most of the clothing and other items at Nearly New Shop are donated by members of the Junior League. Store hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday from12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Attic Treasures Thrift Shop
Attic Treasures Thrift Shop is located at 3534 Broad Street, Chamblee, right outside of Atlanta. One of the most popular thrift shops in Atlanta, it is owned and operated by the Assistance League of Atlanta, a 501c (3) charitable organization. Clothing items start at $3, many with designer labels such as Ann Taylor, Ralph Lauren and others. This thrift shop accepts donations of clothing and other items. Attic Treasures Thrift Shop is closed on Friday through Monday and is open on Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Thursday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Clothes Less Traveled Thrift Shop
Clothes Less Traveled Thrift Shop is a non-profit thrift store located at 459 Highway 74 South, Peachtree City, just south of Atlanta. The thrift shop, opened in 1997, is run by a volunteer board of directors and the profits are given to local charitable organizations. Clothes Less Traveled Thrift Shop carries a variety of clothing and household items that are economically priced. Store hours are on Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Thursday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Last Chance Thrift Shops
Last Chance Thrift Shops are a group of thrift shops in Atlanta owned by B & R Salvage. Although they are for-profit shops, their gently-used clothing and other merchandise is purchased from local charitable organizations. Each of their five locations, including their store at 5488 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Chamblee, offer a wide selection of items which are re-stocked daily. Store hours are on Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Things really are getting bad. The other day, I stopped by my favorite thrift shop (for Hopice)... and it had gone out of business.

The Thrift Shop where I volunteer has been incredibly busy lately :) One mom did all the back to school shopping for her son and only spent $13.00 total - including a $1 brand new backpack :) cheers :)
