Chuck E Cheese
Lots to do, but easy for children to get lost in the chaos of the crowd. That is why they have a stamp system at the door. They also have a toddler area, but it is very small and too confining for a toddler party. Also, the climbing tubes are pretty complex, even 3 year olds can get lost up in there and become easily afraid. I had to climb up there to get one out and believe me, it wasn't fun. You can hear them crying, but you can't always tell where the crying is coming from. A 20 minute escapade of this can really be a party pooper. Chuck E. Cheese is a great place for you to go with your child one on one, but not always the best place for a toddler group. If you plan a party here, make sure you warn parents to keep a close eye on their children and consider some of the potential dangers or party pooper situations that could occur.
McDonalds Play Place Birthday Parties
Lots of fun on a small scale, but cleanliness is a huge sacrifice. My sister took my son there to play one day and a child was throwing up on the play mats. When an employee was told about the mess, they half A@# cleaned it up, mostly just scrubbing it into the play mat. Not the cleanest place in the world. We used to go to the play place there at least once a week. After that, we never went back.
America's Incredible Pizza
Okay, well besides the cost, this place can be a lot of fun, just very expensive. There is a toddler area, which is a lot of fun for about the first 10 minutes. After that, your child will want to explore the rest of the facility, which is predominantly for older kids. They have go-carts, glow in the dark, putt-putt golf, bumper cars, and tons of really expensive video games. Their food is amazing at a cost of $9.99 per adult, of which you can't possibly eat your moneys worth. The food is filling and delicious, but your toddler will not want to sit and eat with all the fun things to do there.
Better Choices for Toddler Parties
If you want to try something that will be a fun for toddlers in a more appropriate environment, with less stress on the parents try one of these locations:
Monkey Joes is located in O'Fallon which is just around the corner from St. Peters and St. Charles. Monkey Joes offers inflatable jumping devices with a special toddler area. It can get kind of crowded also, but it is a great place for kids to wear themselves out while having the time of their life. They are also very clean and use a special anti-bacterial cleaning system to reduce the health hazards presented by consistent use and toddler accidents. Visit their website by clicking on the header above to get more information about reserving birthday parties for your child.
The Little Gym (Awesome Birthday Bash)
WIth all the tumbling, jumping and climbing, this is a great way for your toddler to explore, have fun, and get some serious exercise. You can also ensure a good afternoon nap so you have time to sort through all his new gifts or get some rest yourself. Visit their website by clicking on the header that says "The Little Gym" above and see what they have to offer for birthday parties that fits your needs and price range.
Keep in mind whatever you do for your child's birthday party, your child will have a much better experience if they can cut loose without all the chaos.
