The Eiffel Tower
Of course everyone and their brother know about the Eiffel Tower and if I ever ran into anyone that didn't I would be very surprised, but that doesn't make it any less of the most popular and amazing tourist attraction in all of France. Built next to the Seine River the whole thing measures up to 1,063 feet high and people can see it from far away. You can pay to either climb up the long flights of stairs or take an elevator up to the top, the view from the top is beautiful and takes your breath away. Every night the Eiffel tower shines with lights and does an amazing light show for people to watch. The lawns in front of it go on for about half a mile and there are always people sitting on it picnicking. A must see for visitors to Paris.
Notre Dame de Paris
Many people know of this cathedral from the popular cartoon, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and it looks almost identical to the way it did in that cartoon, with funny looking gargoyles at the top this is really a great tourist destination and beautiful place to visit. Notre Dame which means "Our Lady" in French is named after Jesus' mother the Virgin Mary and stands proud in the city.
Montmartre
This superb hill in northern Paris is really the perfect place to go on a day of sightseeing or just for a picnic, at the top is the lovely and huge white dome building called "Le Sacre Coeur" which is also beautiful to behold. You can choose to either walk up the steps leading to the top of the hill (Which is quite tiring) or take the cable car lift which takes you to the top in about a minute. From the top of Montmartre you can see almost all of Paris and is one of the best views in the city.
Moulin Rouge
The birthplace of the popular Can-Can dance this cabaret is a wonderful place to go to, to see wild entertainment and fascinating dances by erotic dances some of which are naked. There was a movie made after this place but the real place is far more exciting than it looks in the film.
Champs-ElyseesBy far the most famous avenue in Paris, and the most expensive, it is designed for royalty and millionaires to shop and eat at. It is some of the most expensive real estate in the world and only the most elite can afford some of their high prices. There are theaters, cinemas, and the best little French cafés you will ever find. If you have some money to burn than head down to Champs-Elysees today
