Best Toys for a 10 to 13 Year Old Child

Seth Luke
Are you wondering what to get for your child's birthday? Or maybe to treat them for those good grades on their report card? I'll show you some of the best toys for 10-13 year olds.

1. RipStick

A "RipStick" is a skate board with two wheels. It's real easy to learn and gets you active. You might also enjoy playing with it with your kids. Get one for your self and learn it with your child. It's 69.99 at target, so it might seem a little expansive, but its well worth it. It comes in all sorts of colors so pick your Childs favorite! You can order a RipStick here.

2. Nintendo's DSI

Now, this doesn't get you active like the RipStick, but it's really fun. A DSI is a gaming system by Nintendo, aimed at younger gamers. It has two cameras, one in the front and one in the back so you can take a picture at yourself and a friend. The DSI supports Wireless gaming peer to peer in one room or on wifi. It has a lot of games on the market and works with other DS games. The new "DSI Ware" is like the wii's "WiiWare" but for the DSI. Some of the apps are free and others are not. This is really perfect for any age or gender. Comes in blue white and black. You can order it at Target here.

3. iPod Touch

An iPod Touch is really fun. If you're child likes music then this is for them. From the iPod family, the iPod Touch has many features. The app store is the biggest. There is over 50000 apps and counting. From games, tips on working out, cooking, to how to save money, you can't go wrong with any app from the app store. The iPod Touch also has apps that it comes with. You can buy it from target starting at $229 here.

4. A new bike

Does your child like biking? He or she would probably love a new bike. If they go visit close by friends using a bike, a road bike would be perfect. Bikes are a fun way to be active and get tasks done. They could go biking with there parents on a family trip, or go biking with some friends. It would be more fun if you took your kid with you to you're local bike store and pick the one they like. Have fun with this!
