Best Tuxedos for a Winter Wedding 2009

Cassie B. Adonoson
So much emphasis is placed on the dresses in a wedding. What style is the bride going to wear? Is there a veil? What about the bridesmaids? What color will their dresses be?

All great questions, but oftentimes people forget about one of the most important parts. The tuxedo. What is the groom going to wear? No longer are weddings just done in black and white, so the man's tuxedo doesn't necessarily have to be black. It can be gray or even white. Here are my top five picks for men's tuxedos in 2009.

Ralph Lauren's Black Label

Technically, these suits tend to be dinner suits. But that doesn't mean any guy won't look spectacular in these suits. Sleek and stylish, these suits have a mix and match option. Check out www.ralphlauren.com to get ideas and more specific pricing. These suits will be perfect for a summer or autumn wedding, but will also work for a winter wedding.

Joseph & Feiss Double Breasted Notch Lapel

This is about as classic as you can get. It's stylish, and will never go out of style. It's made from 100% wool, so it will be perfect for autumn or winter weddings. The pants are pleated and has one button. You can rent or purchase this tux from Men's Wearhouse. This tux will look the best in classic black.

Jones New York Three Button Tuxedo Separates

This definitely one of my favorites. It's made of high quality wool, so it's bound to feel soft. What's great about this suit is it will look fantastic with a colored vest. The jacket and pants are best in classic black, but a colored vest or cummerbund will work for any wedding. The price is pretty decent to. The jacket sells for $280 while the pants sell for $120. Check out www.menswearhouse.com for sizes and purchase options.

Pronto Uomo White Two-Button Satin Edge Peak Lapel

I'm not usually one for white tuxedos, but this one is the exception to the rule. It's two buttoned, non-vented and is lined with white satin. It's a modern look that will look fantastic with a brightly colored tie. It's fairly new, so should be available at most formal wear shops.

Jamaica Tan Two Button Notch Destination Suit

This is a simpler suit, but still looks classic. It's a single pleat trouser and is 45% wool and 55% polyester. Check out www.tuxedos.com to find the nearest store in your area that carries this classic yet modern suit.
