The Cosby Show: The Cosby Show starred stand-up comedian Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad. It was a situational comedy that ran from 1984-1992. The story line revolves around Dr. Cliff Huxtable and his lawyer wife Clair Huxtable, who were African American parents raising four children in an upper class community. It was always a funny show with great moral lessons at the end of each, teaching their children how the actions we take have consequences and vice versa. Very funny and re-run continues to been even funnier with those 80s clothes and hair dos. Also starring Lisa Bonet, Keisha Knight Pulliam, and Malcolm-Jamal Warner. It was a family sitcom giving rise to shows such as The Bernie Mac show and My Wife and Kids.
Cheers: Ted Danson as ex -ball player Sam Malone, and Shelley Long as Diane Chambers who works as a barmaid at this Boston bar, made this sitcom a must watch from 1982-1993. Based on family of co-workers in Boston area bar. Very funny!
Golden Girls: This was a show featuring women who have something in common; they were widows. Starring Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan, and the late Estelle Getty, the show was the show of the time with sex and dating the centerpiece of discussions.
It was the Sex and the City of the era!
Knight Rider: Starring David Hasselhoff, Knight Rider was a futuristic sitcom with super intelligent car for a super hero who uses his extraordinary power to combat evil. Action packed and always intriguing.
